Super tickled for Gato Feo! He received a Bronze Award from the Moonbeam Book Awards for Pictures books category for All Ages.

Thank you @moonbeamawards (and Purple Dragonfly)! He’s a hit with schools looking for a book to include non-english spanish speakers within the classroom. Reading it out loud to students, and asking them to participate—-is SO fun!

Gato Feo became a reality with Kickstarter supporters and a prepublished indie grant from @scbwi 💛

Thank you everyone for checking in these posts the last thirty days. It’s been a marathon and it is almost over! Dorothy in Oz closes at Midnight!! Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out the Book’s research and art, the fun Poppy Bandana reward, the Toto Bookplates, the giclee signed prints and all the original artwork available. This has been a tornado of a campaign and with our goal met, I’ve begun finalizing final proofs and placing orders! Watch your inbox for a Kickstarter survey by the end of this week 🌈💚 Much love to all!

We did it, everyone! Dorothy in Oz will be a real book! I am so thankful for the kindness and support behind this book project. Family, Friends, Ozians, and new believers: it’s been a long three years, and while I still have a little more work to do on my end, we can all take a deep breath and know Dorothy will be home sweet home soon! My deepest gratitude for helping me make this book a reality! XO, Jime
