In the most humane way possible, we as a family made the decision to put an end to your pain and suffering. Nothing could’ve prepared me for how I’d feel losing you. You were a part of our family and feels just as if I’d lost a human family member. We got you at 8 weeks old back in December of 2017. 5 years we watched you grow from a small puppy to the big boy you were. I always made fun of you for your weight cuz you were huge even for a black lab. 125 lbs my guy, I mean come on. Our relationship was a rocky one, but you were always there for me and I for you and you knew when I needed you most. You were such a sweet boy, really a big, black teddy bear. You never did figure out what personal space was, but that’s what I loved about you. We got you with the intent to make you a guard dog, but you had other plans; all bark no bite. Towards the end when we got to say our goodbyes you were so calm and that gave me peace of mind. The way you looked us in our eyes was like you knew and were ok with what we ultimately had to do. You laid on me as you took your last breath and I’ll never forget the feeling. There’s so much I could say about you. Thank you for the 5 years you gave to us. Lord if you could let the saying, “All dogs go to heaven” be true just this once. You will be missed big boy, sweet boy, baby boy,
