To stand on that stage and finish as Second Runner-Up, Miss Universe Kenya 2026 is an honour I’ll carry with me for a lifetime.

To @missuniversekenya , thank you for believing in me and for creating a platform that empowers young women to dream bigger, lead with purpose, and embrace who they are.

To the Miss Universe Kenya team, the judges, mentors, and every person who worked tirelessly behind the scenes—thank you for your guidance, your patience, and your unwavering support throughout this journey.

To my fellow queens, thank you for the laughter, the encouragement, and the sisterhood. Standing beside each of you has been one of the greatest gifts of this experience, and I know this is only the beginning for all of us.

Meet Myra Mburu, a 23-year-old creative from Nairobi whose journey is a reminder that we don’t have to choose just one version of ourselves.

Beyond the crown, @myraaaimee is an artist, an HR professional, and an advocate passionate about creating safe spaces where young women can find their voices through creativity.

Her journey as a @missuniversekenya finalist has been about growth, courage, and stepping beyond her comfort zone. Through her advocacy, From Silence to Masterpiece, she hopes to use art as a tool for self-expression, healing, confidence, and connection.

If we were catching up over tea, I’d probably be talking about big dreams, art, purpose and whatever I’m currently creating. ☕🤎✨
I’d also tell you about From Silence to Masterpiece, my advocacy inspired by the belief that many young girls are growing up without healthy outlets for self-expression and emotional wellbeing. Through art and creative expression, I am building a platform where young girls can build confidence, process challenges and discover their potential.
Life is a blank canvas, and one brushstroke at a time, we each have the opportunity to paint our own story. 🎨🤍

This is •bloom•

When I painted her, I thought I was creating a beautiful piece of art.

Looking back, I think I was painting a lesson I would spend years learning.

That growth isn’t always loud.

That becoming isn’t always visible.

That you don’t have to be fully formed before you deserve to take up space.

As an artist, creativity has always been my safe place. It’s where I process emotions, find clarity, and reconnect with myself when life feels overwhelming.

That’s what inspired my advocacy, From Silence to Masterpiece — a youth empowerment initiative that uses art and creative expression to help young women build confidence, emotional well being and a sense of possibility for their future.

Because sometimes all it takes is one safe space, one creative outlet, or one person who believes in you to change the direction of a life.

And maybe that’s what Bloom has always been about.

Not becoming someone else.
