Two sessions in and Link Up is already a vibe 🏓

Our new social club for young adults is all about doing what everyone should get to do: hanging out, trying new things, a little friendly competition, and making friends along the way.

Last week we were back on the courts at Cayman Pickleball and Tennis Academy in West Bay for round two of pickleball. The rallies are getting longer, the trash talk is getting better, and the crew is growing.

Everyone belongs in the community, at the courts, at the beach, at the table. That’s what Link Up is about. And this is just the start, with more outings on the way!

Huge thanks to the Cayman Pickleball & Tennis Academy for having us 🙌

Want to join the crew? Send us a DM or get in touch with our community lead at ryan@inclusioncayman.ky

In recognition of Plant a Tree Day, observed on 28 September, more than 100 Seville orange trees were propagated by the Department of Agriculture for the Ministry of Culture and distributed to schools across the island and staff at the Government Administration Building.

Seville oranges are a key ingredient in Cayman’s national drink, Swanky, and were once commonly grown at homes throughout the Cayman Islands.

The initiative helps preserve an important part of Cayman’s cultural heritage while encouraging a new generation to keep the tradition growing.🇰🇾

Truman Bodden Sports Complex Redevelopment Update

Following the announcement of major redevelopment works at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex earlier this year, the project is continuing to move through the procurement and planning stages. The redevelopment includes upgrades to the track, playing field and grandstand infrastructure.

Track
The contract has been awarded to Island Paving Ltd., with construction expected to begin on 19 October 2026. Works will include removal of the existing track, preparation of the sub-surface and installation of a new track surface.

Field
The tender period has closed and evaluations are now underway. A contract signing is anticipated by the end of October.

Grandstand Refurbishment
Architectural drawings and specifications are being finalised with support from the Public Works Department. The Ministry is targeting early November to begin the procurement process.

We’ll continue to share updates as the redevelopment progresses. by @mysch_cayman
