Have a seat and forget the days worries 🌳🌿🪴Before mainstream media we had enough worries but we seemingly got through most. The human mind should not have to take all of the things that are thrown at us every day on social media, on television, on radio. Try to limit yourself and not stay on social media too long. Give your mind some rest. Go out and enjoy nature. Read a novel. I do not celebrate Columbus Day, the indigenous people were here long before he ever arrived. Where I was once proud to say, my ancestors arrived on the shores of America as British colonial settlers in the 1600’s and eventually from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Western Europe. Television white washed what really happened, growing up I watched TV shows like Wagon train, Rawhide and other westerns depicting the indigenous peoples as savages. When I was young, I remember my mother pointing to the Indian school that was in a nearby town and she said in a whisper “ That’s where the Indians go to school” like it’s scary and I didn’t know any better now I feel terrible that these people couldn’t even go to the same school that I went to. So today I will celebrate indigenous peoples day instead of honoring a murderous Columbus. I hope you will do the same. by @myskytreeimages

This photo popped up in my photo memories and it’s one of my favorites. It’s from July 2024 taken in my backyard facing north. It made me smile. I’ve had a rough morning. I spoke to my nephrologist about my kidneys, and the numbers from the bloodwork have dropped significantly regarding the kidney function. I have dropped from 40% function to number 26 which fits me in the 25 to 30% function. I haven’t had a drop like this since my liver transplant nearly 10 years ago. My doctor stated this is due to my age and that I have to take anti-rejection medication daily, which is harmful to kidneys. I am now too old for any type of organ transplant so my future down the road is dialysis, she said that perhaps not for the next five years, which is good but it is still hard to know. She said that I’m doing everything right it’s just how it is. So today, I will let a few tears fall and tomorrow I will live the next five years or so, not being on dialysis and be appreciative about that. Make the most of your days and make great memories. Last week after the rain 🌿🌅🌿 I made it to the labs finally after last week’s dress rehearsal😂 now I just wait to get the results and see how my kidneys are doing. It’s been almost 10 years since they were severely damaged during my end stage liver ordeal. They are functioning at 35 to 40% and hanging in there so far. Cross my fingers that the lab results will prove that they are still at that function percentage. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I wish you all a good weekend and try to make some memories because without them what else do we have? by @myskytreeimages

This morning, getting ready to go to the clinic for bloodwork, I showered, dressed, hair, just need to do my make up and my husband pointed to the calendar that next Friday is my lab work appointment not today. Reminds me of years ago when I was working for a credit union and I got ready to go to work, got in my car and I was telling myself how lucky I was that the freeway was light and not many cars at all. I got to the office put in the office code. I’m opening up the office, sat at my desk and waited for everybody to come in. I waited and I waited. I looked down at my calendar and realized it was a holiday. So I set the codes to close the office got in my car and drove home in light traffic. 😅🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ These sunset pics are from August.
