On September 23, 1893, history was quietly made in Chicago. During the World’s Parliament of Religions, Christian missionary Dr. Henry Jessup presented a paper that included the first public mention of the name Bahá’u’lláh in the West. He read words calling for global unity, the elimination of prejudice, and universal peace: “…all nations should become one in faith and all men as brothers… What harm is there in this? Yet so it shall be. These fruitless strifes, these ruinous wars shall pass away, and the ‘Most Great Peace’ shall come…” Though unknown to the thousands in attendance at the time, this moment signaled the dawn of the Bahá’í Faith in North America. ✨ 🎵 Music: Symphonic Sketches I - Jubilee#BahaiHistory #BahaiFaith #Bahaullah #ThisWeekInBahaiHistory #Interfaith #WorldParliamentOfReligions #Chicago1893 #PeaceAndUnity #SpiritualHistory #MostGreatPeace #UnityOfMankind by @mystar95

Ordinary people. Extraordinary courage. ✨

In late August 1850, a small walled city in Persia became the stage for one of history’s most remarkable standoffs: The Battle of Zanján.

Facing relentless persecution and overwhelming imperial forces, thousands of ordinary men, women, and youth stood together in defense of their faith, conscience, and spiritual vision. Among them was Zaynab, a young village girl who disguised herself to protect her community on the front lines.

Theirs was not a fight for power or land, but a stand for conviction over fear—proclaiming values of equality, unity, and spiritual freedom that still resonate today. 🕊️
