Observations about life as a human.
In a world of crazy, it's the sane man who is seen as insane 👹👽👺

POSTS STORIES REELS

I've been missing for a while, but even when I am missing, I continue practising what I preach, especially when I'm in missing cave monk mode. The loss of my mother and the ongoing fight for justice have taken a heavy toll on me. Yet, even in darkness, there is always light; we just need silence to let it shine.

Anyway, one way I know I am regaining my shine is that I started writing a book about a year and a half ago (have been planning it for 7). It will be called "F**k Thinking, Burn Your Suitcase." Because of everything, I haven't felt grounded enough to want to write anything. But last week, during a star-gazing meditation, these words came through clearly. I have a phone full of notes like these. They are expanded into chapters for the book (I'm probably about a quarter finished). I might start sharing more of them, as it's quick, and I don't really have the time or energy for animations and voiceovers at the moment.

But always remember...
You have more in common with the stairs shining above you than you do with your ego

So, I wanted to share another animated post with a VO about focus. But a close friend reminded me that people care who is behind this page.

Please understand that I've never really intended to make this page about me. Mainly because I realise all that I know can be seen by all people as it's just awareness of now over thoughts. I am nothing special in that regard. I'm just a human taking a slightly different path (plus I'm not a massive fan of seeing too many pics of myself ha).

Pic 1. This is me "normally" (2023) This is where you'll find me most days/evenings. This is me creating happiness, in love, at peace. Simply because I hold an awareness of this moment and what that truly means.

Pic 2. In Thailand. (2019) I always say that people love holidays because they allow themselves to let go of worries and thoughts of yesterday and tomorrow. They just become a flow of moments. This is a feeling I take everywhere with me simply by realising my life is here and now, never anywhere else.

By mastering my focus on this moment, learning to know its sounds, sights, energy, and feelings within. I'm always here and now. Finding the space where I can be free of worries or even thoughts is something that has always brought peace in times of potential pain or stress.

Pic 3. (Today) So Hi, my name is Slim, and this is My Strange Sanity.

Those who know me well know this story well. This is when i discovered it as an experience that my thoughts aren't the solid me i had up to that point. In fact, they are more of another sense like sight and sound and stay here when our energy leaves.

This experience gave me a lesson that i have never forgotten. When i was waiting for oblivion, i saw that the observer in me couldn't die...

Life is much more than most people think it can be! I find that when i speak of an energy-self to most people, i often see eyes roll 🙄until i stop them and say, "i dont mean airy fairy concept of energy... this isn't a belief or concept. To know your energy self, you need only redirect your attention inwards and away from thoughts... what do you find? Is it not energy, a constant flow from which our thoughts are constantly trying to interpret and make fit into our version of the world?!" The self which is energy is the part of us that actually moves our body and lives life.... that part of you lives only here and now, in reality. ✨️

So please know that all i talk about and share isn't a concept or a kind of belief. These are things that can not (by their very nature) be pointed to in this moment. The thing I am sharing is the only thing that can be pointed to directly, life here and now. Life without the illusion of thought realities is a beautiful place, but we poison it with concepts that have very little to do with life here and now.

Also, video clip from a talk i gave earlier this year to a bunch of creative students. Full video on YouTube! Link in bio

Some people are satisfied with ego and concepts. And as long as they are happy, more power to them. But those I want to help are those looking to make a better experience here and now, welcome to My Strange Sanity

A message to the hate-filled people.

Unless you've met every human on earth, the people you hate are just the creations of your mind. You hate and fear your stories of "others". Lies are fed to you to make you move away from unity into hate and destruction.

Everyone wants the same thing, to live without fear and freedom. It's that simple. So deal with your head as that's your responsibility, no one else's.

Wants vs Gratitude.
Even when things feel hard and you desperately want change. The first step is to acknowledge and find gratitude for the things you have. The universe only works in one type of currency, gratitude. If you see that this moment, without thought, is full of infinite possibilities for a better moment, then you have something to be thankful for. Even if it's only that you woke up and have breath in your lungs.

The benefit of awareness is peace of mind. To put it simply, to free myself from myself 🌌♾️👁

Dealing with thoughts.

Like I said in my last video, life is filled with contradictions. Your thoughts tend to be the biggest ones. Thoughts are both wrong and right. What's important for me is not seeing them as truth, but rather a hypothesis with limited data, at best, an old story I no longer need, at worst

One of the many benefits of meditation is that life's contradictions become less troubling.

No one has lived your life before.
And that's a blessing. There is no comparison for your game because it's uniquely yours. Your instincts are your best tool and it always knows what your best path. Love the life you were blessed with.

Your life It's one in an infinity, love it.
