I have a great fascination for architecture filled with ornaments and aesthetic appeal dating back to before the 18th century. The detail oriented construction inspires me in my creative work and design development. It pushes me in my own creations, and reminds me of the importance of precision, symmetry and balance. Even the thought of how these buildings where constructed in an era where machines and technology wasn’t invented amazes me, and keeps me invested in the slow detail orienter process of design and construction. Always seeking design solutions that will last through generation by selecting high quality and sustainable materials, thoroughly designed constructions and creating designs that are valued for its aesthetic appeal through symmetry and quality.

Vouge magazines from the 1920’s has always been a source of inspiration to my work. I find the covers appealing through their confidante use of color, giving each issue its own character, while still standing in the frame of Vouge’s elegant and sophisticated identity.

Curiosity drives my creative interest in creating spaces that feel playful and filled with spirit. Showcasing a hand-drawn visualizations of my projects that is filled with character through its eclectic mix of texture, materials and colors.

My inspiration comes from art, history, culture, fashion and film, always interested in digging into different materials. In this particular hotel project my inspiration came from Wes Anderson cinematic universe and the colorful artistry of McGregor. Wanting to create a feeling of nostalgia and youthful spirit.

When I started my design career, I was unsure where it would lead me or how my interests, ideas, and sources of inspiration would evolve. I struggled to find my path within the field of design and found it difficult to bring all my sources of inspiration together into a cohesive design.

My journal and sketchbook became my crown jewel. Today, I carry them with me everywhere. My visions comes to life by writing down all my thoughts by hand, create sketches, and assemble elaborate mood boards.

I have always been fascinated by environments that have the ability to tell a story that I want to be a part of. Spaces that leaves me with the impression of wanting more. Spaces with a personal identity that I want to be associated with, and becomes a part of who I am.

This is the vision of Myte Design - to create atmospheres anchored in storytelling that stimulate your curiosity. Atmospheres that feels genuine and personal through its distinctive character. Environments that builds communities that you feel a gravitation towards.

Myte takes inspiration from art, culture, history, and nature. Sprouting flowers symbolizes a story that unfolds through research and sketches with the same intention in mind - to find the unique story for each individual space.
