Here is Nickel meeting Clock ! Even though they were brought back specifically because they were requested, I try to keep it fun and interesting for myself (even if no one else thinks it's funny) Comics are 100000000000 percent more work than an illustration, but I also find them more compelling than just making them stand for a mug shot The fact people still remember them even after all this time, means that, well, they left a big impression So they've more than earned the right to have comics Why not let you guys learn about them more, yknow? Anyway, Nickel died when he was like 29, but it's been hundreds of years since his first death 😭 that technically makes him wayyyy older than Clock (42) I usually wouldn't make Nickel so silly (to the point of running away) but I realized I have free will, so it's in character because I said so In any case, there is no actual lore reason why Clock looks so young- some people just do But I kept him that way because (confession time) I didn't wanna design an older version of him..................... Listen, the man has a perfectly good design already- I don't wanna give him ANOTHER one Very few people earn the right to an alternative design (have you seen how many ocs I have????????? If I made an alternative design for each one ONCE, I'd have 300 new designs.) And it's already a staple joke of his character, so I mean.... if it ain't broke, don't fix it BAHAHAHAHA I actually thought of extended scenes that I didn't end up using for the comic this time (because Nickel ran away) buuuuttttt perhaps I'll draw them in the future????? Cynema comic time! Yes it's BL Uhhh I don't know exactly where they are? But basically it was an impromptu group hangout in the middle of the night- they're supposed to be watching fireworks but clearly a certain someone is not doing that.... As always, Yosei mainly only went because he was hoping Otto would be there too 👁👁... Ames and Celeste just forced him out of bed faster (cause both of their crushes will be there too) The Yosei we see with Otto is so much different than the Yosei his fans know. Here, he's silly, devoted, shameless, endearing, and even surprisingly shy at times He's even got those silly inward fan boying moments (and stuff like him sleepily practicing what to say to Otto by talking to the mirror) This is not the smooth talking, classy walking, ~ sexy aura farm ~ actor guy that most people know It's just Yosei- even the popular rich actor guy is still, well, a silly person at heart And well, that's exactly the person that Otto is trying to get to know (and falls in love with) Because of his introverted nature and stone expression, Otto can come off distant hearted, even though he's far from it (I mean, how the hell could he be distant when his best friend is a clingy leech? LMAOOO) Here, Yosei very clearly implies that Otto is one of the people he loves But instead of pushing Yosei away or brushing him off, Otto simply accepts it for what it is and even returns care Honestly speaking though, Otto would've said the same thing anyway because that's just the kind of person he is Caring without expecting anything in return, but not overexerting himself, here . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Pretty dragon guy ! Actually the only character with a tail of this kind 🧍‍♂️ I haven't decided on a name for him yet, but he is Clue's intended boyfriend ! The only thing I know for sure is that he met Clue in the past, until Clue went missing- then they reunite in the recent present, at Prism's base- He was searching for Clue the entire time Since his design tosses around a few medic motifs, he will be the base's "nurse"- he heals the patients when Prism is not there (since she has healing powers) HOWEVER, Prism can only heal injuries- she can't help with nausea, illnesses, and the like, so that stuff is handled by the nurse (Also the title doctor and nurse is used in vice versa for him, even though theyre technically not the same thing, because the civillains like to call him either or. Most do not know there is a difference, and he won't bother to correct them.) (He personally thinks nurse is cuter, but "medic" sounds a bit cool.) When hes not doing his ~ medical stuff ~, he's just helping out around town wherever he can- mostly watching the little kids, helping the bar / bakery, and such He also spends a great deal of time collecting hobbies while waiting for more news on Clue (before Clue is found ofc) He gives me the impression of someone playful anddd...mischevious. but genuinely kind, at heart. Definitely the type to keep all the hurt inside, behind his mischevious smirk. Because deep down, he feels no one would give him the time of day if he isn't entertaining. He 100% carries guilt for not being able to save Clue in the past. He is the same age as Clue ! His dragon features were not physically visible in the past, but the labs forcefully changed him ! Clue ! 🔎 🐼 He is actually not new, which you can tell from his simple ah design- I've had him for a few years, but hadn't drawn him too often cause I was off doing other stuff 😭 I considered changing his design more (I know it's unbelievable because of how simple it is, but yes, I did change it) I decided simple was best- a good design is rememberable, in my opinion, so this is good enough for me Clue is a panda lover (hence the panda on the drawing) so he loooves anything panda! He also likes sushi (California rolls, best) The whole world he's part of centers on humans with magical powers, human experiments, corrupt labs, and all that jazz As one of the most formidable rogue subjects, Clue lost his memories and sense of self He does not know if he was ever loved, if he could be loved by anyone But he can't really dwell on the future he "could've had", since even his past is missing (I do actually have stuff written for his past, but I can't fit it in this post) He has long disconnected from his emotions and sense of self, after all- but he can be surprisingly assertive when it comes to certain things, his stubbornness being unbreakable... Ah ! And he is also scared of touch, having to take time to be comfortable with people He continues to learn more about himself as he makes friends (Reese, in particular, if anybody remembers that guy) He seems aloof, but is actually quite... unintentionally hilarious because of his honesty and bluntness (he isn't ever trying to be /mean/, though- just takes things kinda literal) Unfortunately, he does have a smidge of that martyr complex, so he tries to tackle things by himself (you'll find many of the people at Prism's base have this problem, and Reese 100% lectures them for it) He'll even sacrifice the shirt off his back for someone else (which Reese will lecture him about again) He gets a gentle smile when talking about something he loves, though- Did I mention he has freckles and dimples? Yes, I would rather make a whole new entire ref sheet than touch up my old one- what of it? I like to get comms of Cloud, so I needed a clearer reference of him (yes, tis a him) So for the purpose of creating a clear reference as much as possible, I took extra care with the lineart and details That also means it took quadruple the time it usually does just to make this... I've been drawing for hours... </3 My mental and emotional health has been challenged immensely by this page alone, but the reward is a reference I can be more satisfied with! I would say I'd never draw something like this again, but I probably will, because even though I massively hate details, I mainly seem to design characters Why? 🌙🪻| "Am I... beautiful?" THEY AREN'T A SHIP I WILL REITERATE THIS A MILLION TIMES. I thought I'd do something more centered on Celeste ! Cause the others in the movie studio group are starving for content, man... This comic is set back when Yosei and Celeste worked on a movie together for the first time which is why their designs and personalities are kinda different Yosei is more wary and guarded- at this point, he's pretty much mentally and emotionally past his limit, so he spends a lot of his time "face falling" whenever people aren't around He effectively gives no fucks and is THIS close to having a career crash out, but still forces the perfect act onto himself The fact he's willing to show Celeste anything other than a perfectly crafted smile is proof they've gotten closer Celeste is more unsure than usual, but this is still a major insecurity she wrestles with in the present Beauty is all that she has ever been praised for, and although she resents it, her fame is mostly credited to her looks. If she is not beautiful, then she is nothing (to the industry) Her love and passion for acting gets suffocated under the damsel in distress roles shes constantly forced to play, never able to freely explore different characters Everything, down to the way she dresses and speaks, is controlled by her agency So shes relieved to hear that there is more to her than beauty, from the only person she feels she can trust This moment is mostly driven by the built up desperation and exhaustion they face from fame Neither of them are 100% confident or sure of this conversation, a very awkward attempt at connecting with another person but not knowing how to So this comic is meant to feel very awkward and wary HAHAHAHAH The cracks over Celeste's face, the darkened shadow over Yosei's face, and color choices are purposeful too ofc ! Nickel sketch comic !! I honestly have no idea why hes so popular? I'm most well known for TWINKS, after all... HAHHAHA but he gets a new fan every time he appears Anyway!! Refresher on who this even is !! This is Nickel, part of my spirit realm- however, as the sketch above indicates, this comic takes place in an AU Hes (spoiler alert) usually dead squared- as in, DEAD dead. Mail was a tyrant (and an insane person LMAO he ATE demons when he was jailed in hell, then overthrew the government basically- millions of people completely disappeared because they got killed cough cough, history in fractures) Mail absorbs most of Nickel's soul but the rest remains with Dal, in the form of magical power, effectively leaving his existence in fractures. And therefore, "resurrecting" Nickel would be impossible. Man ain't gonna come back... unless I feel like it The rest of the story revolves around Dal's guilt and grief of Nickel's death, the responsibility left to him, and "atoning" with his life Dal was Nickel's classmate in the academy, and they were close (And originally they were written to just be friends, but idk guys... the more lore I write between them, the stronger the allegations so I'll probably pull the trigger) In this AU, Nickel defeats Mail and lives, but Dal dies. I would say it's sort of like a role reversal because the one who dies switches, but the way Mail handles it is ENTIRELY different from Dal Dal becomes the ruler of the spirit realm and tries to make it better But Nickel goes missing after getting his revenge against the tyrant, leaving that governing shi to someone else He wanders Hell's snowy landscape, going solo like he did before he met Dal In this comic, he finds Pudding there (and is obviously confused because why is there a kid in hell????) HAHAHAHAHAH It may be "Ace" because he's represented as the Ace of hearts I don't feel like it's super suiting... but if it's a card theme I'm going for, there's nothing else I would name him (Theres literally so many Aces though- I can't tell you how many people I know have a character named Ace, because... I also... previously had a character named Ace HAHAHAHHA) I find it a bit funny for him to be named Ace while technically being the familiar of Heart Jester (Cause... yknow.... ace... and jester....) If I continue to name them with a sort of "card" theme, though, I have to change Bob the ram's name to.... King HAHAHHAHAHAHAH SOMEHOW THAT FEELS MORE RANDOM THAN BOB THOUGH ???? Oh but !! ♥️🖤 | "Are you fond of... hearts~?" Had to fix the lighting and shadows of this one I actually... have no idea what I was even thinking when I first made this chibi ??? There were hair shadows missing and everything ???? I have no idea why???? And also the values were quite unclear- I'm not sure where my hard shadows were ? Or why I didn't put any ?????? So this is like a smidge better at best BABOANOANLANLALN I still have my HJ sketch, the first ever one I made of him, so I might as well throw it in too A little refresh on the Heart Jester !: HJ is part of the Nightmare Circus (and said world was inspired by him) He's more so "morally ambiguous", being a magical creature that was created to eat evil souls- he does revel in torturing and eating them, even if these are evil people we're talking about HAHAH He is manipulative, calculated, and shameless honestly Social norms? What is that? He does whatever he wants, whenever he wants- the odd and the normal, what does it matter, as long as it is entertaining? Fixed and polished this old painting a bit more ! It's the Heart Jester ofc !! Pretend this is the first time you've seen this... HAHAHAHAH The old painting had more of an orangish tint than like his intense signature red ??? So I like the new one more ofc !! I had never liked how the old composition covered his hand anyway... The Nightmare Circus is a realm that can only be entered when a person has fallen asleep (referred to as a Dreamer, by the Nightmare Circus members) The Dreamer's face, heart, and body are separated from each other- one must retrieve each piece to escape And one of the necessary steps is to, you guessed it, eat your heart The hearts are kept in Heart Jester's room If you happen to be an "evil" soul, though, this place can turn from a ethereal, pretty place to a horror movie butcher vibe HAHHAHAHAHA These hearts belong to different Dreamers, after all... containing the feelings and nature of the person . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #oc #ocart #jesteroc #animeart #artcommunity by @myusement
