One of the views @interparkingnl Lijnbaan - One of my favorite window shots in the hallway. You can take great pictures from several levels with a nice view over the rooftops of Rotterdams‘ district Oude Westen.

It‘s free to visit as a pedestrian!
Don‘t forget you are in a parking house and keep a look out for cars - stay safe! :)

Facade of the Timmerhuis 2023, Rodezand -
Ground floor facade at Rodezand is characterized by a fluted glass curtain wall, allowing an open view into the building to encourage public engagement.
This design choice fosters a strong connection between the building’s interior and the surrounding urban environment.

Asylum, 1996 - Did you know you can enter the „Asylum“ by Joost van den Toorn?

In the courtyard (Hof van Zuid) behind the Courthouse and Tax Office stands this 30-metre-high stainless steel sculpture created by visual artist Joost van den Toorn.

Symbolising the division of power and the mystical, the human being steps into the centre of this interactive sculpture.

Open to the public Mondays-Fridays from 6:30am until 7pm.

Tip: Have an elevated view from the parking house!

Oudehavenkade - At the head of the Oude Haven is the Oudehavenkade, which overlooks the entire harbour. This is also where the Cubic Houses are located, from where you have an elevated view (from where I was looking down to catch a pedestrian in the evening light).

A beautiful, lively place to stroll and enjoy the many restaurants and bars at Oudehavenkade and Spaansekade.

Glasfabriek, Schiedam - This monochrome mosaic wall has it‘s place in the hallway in building 10 and is beautifully contrasted with complementary colored chairs 🔴.

The aisle in the headquarters of the 5.5 hectare site of Glasfabriek Schiedam has been decorated with glass ornaments throughout building 10. Check out my previous posts on the Glasfabriek in Schiedam to get more impressions!

Glasfabriek, Schiedam - Designed by architect Dirk Brouwer. Another insight into one of Schiedam's oldest factory sites. The window is over 4 metres high and consists of 615 glass elements, flooding the stairwell with light

Pathé Schouwburgplein - Opened on 27th March 1996, designed by architect Koen van Velsen.

Because the building was build on top of an already existing parking garage, it has a light construction.
In 2018, the original façade got replaced with lower-maintenance, more modern double-walled polycarbonate elements. Lightweight and translucent.

Glasfabriek, Schiedam - Designed by architect Dirk Brouwer. In 1853, the first factory building was built on one of Schiedam's oldest factory sites, which has since been further expanded. Glass production was directly related to gin export, for which Schiedam is internationally known ("Gin Capital of the Netherlands").

Seen here: Corridor in building 10. Aisle in the headquarters of the 5.5 hectare site of Glasfabriek Schiedam.

Used as a glass factory until 2017 and from 2020-2026 under conversion into an urban living, experience and working environment
