Running a studio wasn’t chaotic enough, so the three of us decided to run an actual circus. 🎪
Circus! A new conference about animation, design and craft. São Paulo. December 3rd.
Built by three friends who kept saying “ someone should do this in Brazil” until we realized we were someone: @statewithlove , @laundry_studios and @pupila.co
Brazilian talent is in the credits of half the work you love. Time for the show to come to us.
No lions. No trapeze (unconfirmed). Just the best people in creativity under one very big tent.
🇧🇷 Administrar um estúdio não era caos suficiente, então resolvemos montar um circo de verdade. Circus! uma nova conferência de animação, design e craft. São Paulo, 3 de dezembro. Sem leões. Trapézio ainda não confirmado.
Save the date. Anota aí. 🎪 03.12

LeBron James had to approve an illustration of himself. It felt surreal. 👑
Beats wanted a new take on talking about the technical side of their products. No spec demo, no exploded views. A story instead: a Beats engineer narrating the day Powerbeats was presented to LeBron for his approval. Limited palette, a touch of Lakers purple and some humor.

Nothing in this piece was hard to make. All of it was hard to decide. Craft is a decision.

Client: @beatsbydre
Studio: @statewithlove
Crew: @hello.lucho , @luis__vilani , @krissye , @taismarcelo , @lupo.world , @adossantos , @ceci_monster , @andrefld2 , @gur_motion

Full spot on state’s site.

Rebuilding yourself is not sexy.
The last couple of weeks have been rough. It isn’t the part where you find yourself. It’s the part where you let go of the pieces you don’t connect with anymore, including the ones that built everything you have.
Slower than it looks. Quieter too. taken in Los Angeles, California by @mziul

Nike never asked for this.
We made it anyway. 🧡
No client. No brief. No budget. Just desire.
A lot of work out there is getting vanilla. Same prompts, same styles, same safe choices. And when everyone makes the obvious, craft becomes the most valuable asset in the industry.
I can teach you the tools. I can teach you how to prompt. I cannot teach you desire.
Desire + craft = work nobody else could have made.
Invest in craft. The obvious is already taken.
Spec spot for @nike, made with love at @statewithlove 🖤

One of our favorite things to build is a motion system when typography, design and animation become one language, every asset feels intentional, recognizable and built to last. Here’s ours for @earnin_official with our partners @slimcreativeinc Strong brands deserve strong motion systems. Cheers to our partner @johnxblackx from @cypher.audio for the awesome track. ❤️⚡️
