POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Modern society forces us from an early age to play its game to survive.
Conform, fit, adapt, suppress, smile, nod, get that paper- the certificate, the degree, the money.

Medicate yourself into productivity, whether it’s with coffee or pills- because if you don’t? Good luck paying that rent with your art!

You don’t want to memorize multiplication tables or history books?
You can’t focus on a screen for 10 hours a day??

You must have a DISORDER! You must be defective!

Never mind that it’s normal to not be able to concentrate on things that aren’t important to you.

This conditioning becomes so embedded that even when we don’t have to self-abandon anymore- we do it anyway. We believe the story we were told. What else is there?

Some of us choose to stay in unhealthy relationships, jobs, career paths not because they’re right for us, but because they’re familiar. I have to force myself to do this thing, because everyone told me I have to do it. My parents did it. There’s no other option, right?

Can you remember who you were before you started playing someone else’s game?

What game do you wanna play instead?

Thank you guitar maestro Brandon Dannals for rocking out with me!! @bdannals taken in Nevada City, California by @n.e.era

Today I’m on a plane to India as a new chapter begins for me- temporarily uprooting to return to adventure.

I love Nevada City so much- the community, the land, the energy. I’ll definitely be back, but I don’t know when. This year has been so beautiful, full of music, friends, love, and lots of growth. During a full moon ceremony this summer, I suddenly felt the call to travel in order to study yoga and music seriously. After 8 years of practice, I feel ready for a teacher, an immersion, an upgrade.

I don’t have many solid plans- I’m landing in Delhi on Oct 16, taking a shuttle to Haridwar, then making my way north to Rishikesh and then Dharamshala. In December I feel I’ll move back south and perhaps visit Amma. I’m in the flow and trusting spirit to lead me where I need to go. And if you know anyone who will be in those areas around the same time, please reach out! Adventure is more fun together ✨

I’ll be back in 2027. Sending so much love to my beloved friends and family, especially @darius.creator for being the divine support structure for so much of my chaos. May you have a bountiful harvest this autumn. ❤️ I love you! taken in Nevada City, California by @n.e.era

✨There was something so powerful about coming together in community and allowing music, movement, prayer, voice, and vibration to become one shared experience.

🤩@dtomusic bringing the energy with a beautiful live DJ journey all the way from Costa Rica

🤩@n.e.era blessing the space with absolutely incredible vocals and deeply inspiring lyrics that spoke straight to the heart.

✨ @blisswithmonique weaving in deep, soothing vibrations through sound healing, creating space to ground, receive, release, and simply BE.

❤️ So grateful to everyone who shared their energy, their movement, their presence, and their hearts with us.

🙏 More of THIS, please.

Last night was magic. @dtomusic came to Nevada City to play Ecstatic Dance (@nevadacity_edance), which I’ve been going to almost every week since I moved here. With a spirit of pure generous inclusivity, he invited some local artists to perform with him on stage, giving everyone a chance to showcase their talents.
The day before the dance, he sent me his setlist and asked if I’d like to sing one of his songs. On it I found an instrumental track he had produced with @momentologymusic called So Beautiful and I felt it would be perfect for a song I wrote two years ago called Grow, which I’ve never shared or sung for anyone. The afternoon of the dance, I practiced the song for DTO and 6 hours later I was singing it on stage. I can’t thank him enough for the incredible experience. 🙏🙏🙏

Just hold onto your dream- whatever it is- stay consistent, give thanks to the Divine and watch it all unfold. ❤️✨❤️
Thanks for capturing the moment dearest @darius.creator ❤️

I wrote this song after a relationship ended last year. It’s so easy to get into patterns of hurt, attack and withdrawal with the ones we love- even in subtle ways, until the pain becomes an unbridgeable rift and we float apart, thinking the next time will be different- that other person must be to blame for hurting us.
But all relationships are mirrors, reflecting to the exact degree how much we accept or reject ourselves. When someone causes us pain, and we have a choice- close our hearts and shut down, hurt them in return, or forgive and love them anyway. And it’s the proud refusal to simply forgive that fuels all conflict in the world.
We don’t have to stay with that person, we can accept our differences and walk away in peace and understanding- but when we walk away in anger or bitterness, it’s a poison that we choose to keep inside of ourselves that taints all future relationships. No matter what you’ve been through, it’s never too late to forgive and choose love.

Forgiveness Now

You hurt me, I hurt you- round and round, is that what you wanna do?
You love me, I love you- forgiveness now, that’s what I gotta do.
I won’t keep this pain
I won’t hold this shame
I will let it all out
Til nothing does remain
But the light in me
I hope you can see
What they gave to you
Is exactly what you gave to me
But it’s over now
We can work it out
We can change the sound
To a whisper from a shout

The SeeStars of Song singer-songwriter showcase was one of the most magical events I have ever witnessed let alone curated and I could never have done this alone. Thank you to all of these amazingly talented women for showing up, helping out, and gracing us with beautiful performances that often moved the audience to tears and uplifted us all. I adore each of you and have loved connecting with you more as friends. And yes I do believe we should go on tour together--next stop Topanga! ❤️ by @n.e.era

SINGERS!
I’m so excited to attend this vocal retreat in September with some of my favorite kirtan leaders ever, @kiranjotkaurmusic and @jossjaffe.
Her voice is truly transcendent- and we’ll be at Harbin Hot Springs! Details below.

Join us..

For a deeply nourishing retreat for the SOUL

Immerse yourself in sacred waters and the flow of Divine Sound. Wake up for prayer, Yoga and Chanting. Activate your throat Chakra with the ancient healing practice of Indian Classical note Singing. Get started on the harmonium with a deeply rooted practice that comes directly from India. Use your voice as a healing instrument for yourself and others.

Wake up for Kundalini Yoga and A Course in Miracles Daily lesson with Kiranjot. Yoga will be followed by an hour of Indian Classical note practice that serves as a deep heart meditation as well as being the best vocal warm up! Take time to soak, hike, practice and have your morning and midday meals. We will come together in the afternoon for Harmonium basics - get your fingers moving and understand how to start your own daily practice at home. End the day with Evening chanting in the yurt (special event Sunday night chanting will be in the therapy pool).
