Chef Bae and I smoked a slab of salmon on the grill with a bunch of asparagus. We seasoned the salmon with some rub, squeezed lemon on the asparagus and paired it with a can of Limoncello La Croix. Taco Grill and Salsa Bar! D licious! The salsa bar was 🔥🔥🔥 and the chips homemade. 10 out of 10 every single time. Never realized how much I love cactus, going to find ways to incorporate it in my everyday cooking and garden! Definitely going to eat my way through this menu. Authentic Mexican food in the north suburbs is hard to find. My Review: Roux Restaurant in the Hyde Park area of Chicago made me extremely proud. I had to select a restaurant for a crowd of people that have extremely discerning tastes, ethnicities and great expectations. They all absolutely loved the food AND the restaurant! I chose this restaurant based off of pics. reviews, the menu description and reviews. We tried the majority of the menu and all of it exceeded our expectations! A winner winner chicken dinner. Speaking of, my table mates got the chicken and waffles and I could literally see the herbs and spices on the chicken coated with an amazing crispy crust so I knew it was 🔥 without tasting it and was confirmed by the consumers. I’m not a dessert person but that pecan pie tart was absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I brought samples home of the dessert menu to my Sweetie who loves Sweets, the beignets, pecan pie tarts and the cinnamon roll. He enjoyed and appreciated the brisket hash and creamy cheese grits.

Frontier Restaurant featuring an amazing pop up collab of Carribean chefs! @chefjup and @chefpicky_ . Another great find by @tatmcarter that always makes sure to bring black chefs and black chef events to my attention . This one was absolutely worthy! Lunch date my 94 year old Gammy @eunicegeron. We both looooove Thai food. Lamb chops, oysters, some the best egg rolls, pad see ew, shrimp curry and cucumber salad! 😋. I discovered @siam.marina back in the day when it was in River Oaks Mall. Bonus points, if you look close enough you can spot Gammy at the very end of the last video 🥰.
