A lot of travel this summer kept me very busy. Between extended fishing trips, a retirement celebration, wedding planning with my daughter and future son-in-law, and a couple of bisits@to DC to help out my son and daughter-in-law with my new grandson, my Broadway visits hit some roadblocks along the way. Luckily I was able to scratch that theatre-going itch by sneaking in three visits to the Ogunquit Playhouse while I was up in New England. I was able to see wonderful productions of Hello,Dolly! featuring the always entertaining Beth Leavel and an incredible supporting cast, City of Angels (a show I had never previously seen - and I was not disappointed), and capping it off with a terrific production of The Producers, which I was able to see as part of a Girls weekend with my SUNYA roomies! The Fleeting Final Weeks of Summer 2026 (part 2): 1) Sing it, Lucy! 2 &3) The beginning of 10 days on Lake Winnipesaukee. 4) Easy (and enjoyable Book club selection before we hit “Back to School” season 5) In search of the elusive school of small mouth bass 6 & 7) Found some! 8 & 9) The early bird catches the “smoke on the water” pics 10) I love watching the mergansers 11 & 12) Out for a morning with Tim Moore trolling for salmon 13) and then catching a huge rainbow trout! 14) A quick visit to the Ogunquit Playhouse to see City of Angels 15) Back down to DC for a visit 16) The Family unit 17) Tour of the Supreme Court,given by a dear friend 18) My tour guide and me 19) Everyone out for a walk 20) Hanging with my guy😍 by @n.thielmann

Where did the 2nd half of summer go? We came back from our Canada/Maine fishing trip and then zoomed thru July/August! Here are some of the highlights (Part 1): 1 & 2) Hannah & Chris treated us to a fabulous tasting menu dinner at Charleston Restaurant in Baltimore to celebrate Bob’s retirement. The next day was “supposed” to be Emily and Spencer’s Baby shower, but… 3) Someone decided to arrive almost five weeks ahead of schedule! 4) We hung out in Baltimore with friends and family who traveled down to Baltimore for the now-cancelled party, and placed bets on time of birth and possible names. 5 - 7) We snuck in a trip to NYC for the Les Miz concert and 8 & 9) another Broadway show in the beginning of August. Then, 10 & 11) I made my way down to the DC area to spend quality time with my grandson and to help out the new parents. 12) Hannah & Chris came down for a day to join in the fun! Yesterday’s entertainment 😍. Took a break from digging out after being away from home for a while, plus some extra added excitement last weekend, and got to enjoy the Proshot of Hadestown. Excellent! And they extended the theatrical run, so if you get a chance, check it out! by @n.thielmann

For all those who asked “where are the fish?” (I’m looking at you, Walter Relling!), here are some of our favorites from our two week fishing trip in Northern Ontario… Starting with this early morning smallmouth bass

One of the only places we could watch the Belgium/Senegal World Cup match in Massey, Ontario (great game!)

We found out (much to our dismay) that there are no largemouth bass in Spanish, Ontario. I guess that just left these smallmouth to get pretty hefty!

Our waitress at the lodge is also a vocalist for a local Classic Rock band (“DRYV”), and invited us to a private rehearsal. They were terrific! 🔊
