This is genuinely an unopened n54 with the stock cams. However, while tinkering with some vanos logic in an e40 tune I’m writing it occured to me that I could probably make it chop at idle with the generous range of motion vanos allows for in the valve timing of the intake and exhaust cams, after like 7 or 8 attempts I landed on this, which I absolutely love the sound of. Would you want your n54 to sound this way or is this a sound that belongs strictly to classic American v8s?
