You can look cute while exercising your First Amendment Rights.

The real question is can humanity ever create a government that doesn’t oppress its own people? Or all people for that matter.

Fuck the right and fuck the left. This system is broken and corrupt. American politics is poison.

This system is a perpetual pendulum that swings to the opposite direction when the opposing direction is in power. We experience and see how shitty the current direction in power is and think the other is better, but’s it’s not. Ultimately, they are 2 sides of the same coin. We need serious reform. by @n_newey_

In 2016 I was in my 3rd year of being a seasoned festival goer or in other words a perpetual space cadet. I was less than a year in to graphic design school. I spent a lot of my time behind the camera rather than in front. I captured many moments, mostly of the live painters and the atmosphere the art galleries helped cultivate.

I had seen, probably, 25-30 Papadosio shows by the end of 2016 and car tripped from IN to CO for their first Red Rocks show. Honestly those days were some of the best days of my life. The feelings during those times were truly indescribable. I got to experience some of the best music festivals in the Midwest with some of the best of people. I was truly care free. I was immersed in the festival counter-culture bubble. I saw what music, art, dancing, expression and connection can do for people and a society. Every time I was at a camping festival it felt like “this is how life really is supposed to be”.

I went from having long tri-colored hair to chopping a lot off and bleaching it at the end of the year. By the end of 2016 I felt like I was shedding some of my adolescent self. But the feelings during my chronic festival days never left me. It ignited and contributed to my musical obsession. I’ve carried them with me all this time. I’ve explored many art forms in life and I don’t really know how else to be. I love art and I love music and I truly think they can change the world. by @n_newey_
