Super psyched to get this one done! That match was brutal, thought it would be over when I finally made the cross but really had to fight to match. Sick boulder!

Had an amazing day at Bowden Doors today. All my hard work training has paid off and I sent my first 8a with V Crimps Direct! I'm super psyched to have finally topped this route after trying it for the first time maybe 3 or so years ago especially now as it's become my first 8a. Can't wait to keep climbing outside this year and see how many more hard routes I can send 💪

Started boulder season as I aim to continue by finally sending "Dead Sirius". Having first tried this problem about a year ago it feels amazing to have finally stood on top of the lip. Certainly not the smoothest send as my left hand ripped out of the pocket as I hit the jug with my right but I'll certainly take it.

Full disclaimer, the small crimp I use for the right hand above the jug is a new excavation since Dan Varians first ascent back in 2014. I personally don't think using it changes the grade of the climb, but I'll need someone to climb it both ways to tell me otherwise.

A big thanks to @m_witham, @lisa_a_lamont, @twin_lamas and @demesajorge for carrying pads spotting and always giving lots of psych while I worked on this boulder.

Nice one by @inoco0326. Made it a bit of a mission to try and find some alternative beta for this one, i found it super difficult to go right hand into f11 then actually move from it. The big roll over to f12 seemed like the obvious choice but became way more of a challange than I originally expected.
