La Ermita de la Santa Cruz, deep in the heart of Guatemala, became the most unreal backdrop for this jungle party. 🪩⚡️

Umbar & Yash’s Indian wedding weekend wouldn’t be complete without this Sangeet night— wild colors, drums, dancing, and electric energy that pulsed even after the sun disappeared. The vibrant traditions, endless rounds of Garba, the insane dances & fireworks to match — it was one of those nights you feel forever.

the most romantic summer wedding. @leahstlawrence is a bride after my own heart- she went all out and wore not one but three couture dresses, designed modern tablescapes that still had personal touches, and walked through the most garden-esque aisle way for their ceremony. ✨ even though there was a luxurious touch w/ their style, her & Chad truly focused on their loved ones & found a way to make their wedding an experience- between the whiskey bar, the ABBA tribute band, and all the custom balloons, everyone was smiling ear to ear and on the dance floor until final call! so so excited that a photo from their ceremony is the first of two advertorials I have with @britishvogue 💘

Warm day by the ocean, salty kisses, barefoot in the waves- literally felt like the most summer day with these two. All the photos were moments right out of 90s filmy nostalgia. FILM UPDATE 🎞️ // one of my goals for this wedding season was to feel more confident shooting film and making it a larger part of my flow throughout the day! so I’ve slowly been learning and testing (expensive but so rewarding haha) & this session was my first time reaching for film more than my digital!! so when I got the scans back I literally couldn’t be more stoked!! everything from the contrast to the colors feels so aligned with the work I want to keep shooting and I’m so excited to keep playing with this medium!! 💗

film drop 🎞️ // going through the endless catalogue of photos I took while we were in Pakistan, and while I love the digital shots and will eventually get around to sharing those too, I’m especially so happy with how all of the film came out. I was scared for the results after the amount of scanners I had to put them through (airports were not our friend this go around) but honestly the grit & color of the 35mm captured these scenes just like they felt and I love them so much. 🪞 taken in Pakistan by @nabazabih

Dusk til Dawn, a Wedding in Antigua, Guatemala | mix of film + digital

I don’t think any of us really knew what we were in for! The moment Umbar and Yash said ‘I do’, they stepped straight into the cobblestone streets of Antigua & the city welcomed them in! The wedding party danced into the streets, boom boxes out like we were in some kind of 90s film.

Doors flew open. Locals poured into the road alongside us, drawn by the music, the energy, the joy of it all. A trumpet player kept the night alive, fireworks shooting from his instrument like something literally out of a dream. Above it all, the volcano in the distance was erupting (casual right). We had all of Antigua celebrating these two as they went from their ceremony venue to their reception a couple of blocks down the way.

Hours later, the sparkler exit came and went… and somehow the night was only beginning. We packed up our bags, fully expecting to crawl into bed after shooting for a week, but the wedding party insisted we stay. I don’t know where the energy came from but suddenly we were dancing too, completely swept up in it. No one went to bed until the sun crept back over the city.

And Umbar and Yash never stopped moving. Not once. No literally they actually hiked a volcano with us after the wedding festivities 😂

Ugh but the Guatemalan culture meeting a South Asian celebration, the mixing of music, color, and movement, it was a night too iconic to contain, and never meant to end !!! 10000/10 ⚡️
