"Pressure doesn't break me, it introduces me.”

For the love of the game,

Sports has always held a special place in my heart. Most people don’t start watching football the day after they’re born with their dad. For me, it’s been a part of who I am from the very beginning. Being an athlete taught me early that everything is earned and nothing is given.

The path to a career in sports has been anything but easy. There were moments I questioned everything, moments I wanted to give up and choose a different path. In an industry that is harsh and unforgiving, I’ve heard “no” more times than I can count. However, each “no” led me to a door I was meant to walk through.

From being a softball manager, to mopping sweat off courts, to serving as an athletic compliance intern, and now working with an NBA organization, each experience reflects the same lesson I learned as an athlete: nothing is given, everything is earned. Every sacrifice, every long day, and every moment of doubt had a purpose, even when it didn’t feel ideal at the time.

I would be wrong to say I made it here on my own. Thank you to Ms. Ross and the Athletic Department for believing in me and giving me an opportunity when others didn’t.
Thank you to my mom for always being a listening ear and for pushing me forward even when I wanted to stand still. I leave here confident in knowing that I am exactly where I am meant to be.

"Start Here, Go Anywhere"

On May 8, 2026, I graduated DEBT FREE from Thee Illustrious Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University and am a 3rd generation HBCU graduate.

First and foremost, I thank God for keeping me every step of the way because with Him, nothing is possible.

If you would’ve told the girl from Baltimore that she would one day find a second home in Alabama, she probably wouldn’t have believed you. Yet choosing Alabama A&M became one of the greatest decisions of my life.

This university gave me far more than a degree. Alabama A&M challenged me to grow, pushed me beyond my comfort zone, and showed me the importance of resilience, leadership, and service. Every obstacle, sacrifice, and victory helped transform a 17-year-old girl into the young woman I am today. I leave this university with a foundation that can't be taken away from me.

While this chapter is coming to a close, my journey in higher education is far from over. I am blessed to continue my education at North Carolina A&T State University, where I will pursue my Master’s of Business Administration.

Thank you, Alabama A&M, for becoming home away from home. Thank you for raising me, refining me, and preparing me for the next chapter.

Forever Yours,
A Bad Bad Bulldog! 🐾

To be PHIRST,
I didn't have a legacy to follow, but I started my own. I am grateful to have joined a prestigious organization such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I know wherever I go, there is never a soror too far.

To My Sisters,
I have truly been blessed because real sisters are hard to find. Life is that much easier knowing I have my sisters by my side. We have been through trials and tribulations and still continued to show up for each other. I’m surrounded by like-minded women who hold me accountable, support me, and challenge me to become better every day.

Thank you for the random late nights, last-minute trips, and all the “for the plot” moments. We will never be 21 in college again, and that’s what makes this chapter of my life so special.

To My Neos,
I have truly enjoyed being around you all and will forever cherish the relationships I have built. I challenge you all to be better in every aspect and to leave Gamma Mu better than you found it. Raise the standard and never be complacent. There is always more work to be done. Keep scholarship, service, and most importantly, sisterhood at the center of everything you do. This is your chapter! Do not be afraid to speak up or challenge the status quo. Always remember your greatest strength lies in one another.

With love, Cherishable Pearl

Dear Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, Incorporated,

I have often been asked why I decided to join, but what is understood does not always need to be explained. As the first sorority I joined on campus, Gamma Sigma Sigma will forever hold a special place in my heart. The genuine love and support I have received from my sorors is unmatched.

To Sinclair,
Thank you for always seeing and believing in my potential. You were the example I needed and showed me how to truly balance it all in a way very few people can. You were always just a phone call or text away, no matter the circumstance. A true Muva indeed!

To my L.I.A.R.Σ,
I never imagined a sisterhood like ours. From the very first day I met you all, I had no idea the kind of journey I was beginning. Through all the highs, the lows, and the endless days, I would not change a single moment. I have grown in so many ways, but most importantly, I learned the true meaning of sisterhood. Sisterhood is not perfect, nor is it built overnight or forced. It is built and maintained through hard work, consistency, and genuine love for one another.

My M.P's
They thought they got us. 🤍
