Managing type 1 diabetes for me means showing up every day to play field hockey while simultaneously managing a condition that never takes a break. It isn’t always smooth sailing, and not every day is perfect.

But seeing fellow Dexcom Warriors like Mark Andrews and Mason Miller compete at the highest levels of their sports inspires me to continue growing, learning, and pushing forward. Their stories remind me that diabetes doesn’t have to stand in the way of your goals.

Being part of the @dexcom U Season 4 roster has been such an inspiring and motivating experience. Connecting with other T1D college athletes and hearing their stories has reminded me that I’m not alone in the ups and downs of training and competing with diabetes. Their resilience and drive continue to push me to be stronger every day.

Managing my glucose levels while keeping up with the demands of being an athlete isn’t easy—but having the support of my family, teammates, coaches, and fellow Dexcom U athletes makes all the difference.

Planning meals ahead of time and using Dexcom G7 to stay on top of my glucose levels helps me compete at my best.

I’m proud to stand alongside the 20 other athletes on this year’s roster—each of us with a unique story, showing the world what’s possible with diabetes.

I’m excited to officially join @dexcom as part of Dexcom U’s Signing Day this past weekend—alongside an incredible group of college athletes with diabetes from across the country.

It’s an honor to be selected from over 200 nominations for the only NIL program dedicated to collegiate athletes with diabetes. I’m proud to represent this community and celebrate this milestone with my fellow Dexcom Warriors.

As an athlete with diabetes, my Dexcom CGM has been a game-changer for managing my condition. With real time glucose level readings sent directly to my phone* - no fingerpicks needed** - I can focus on my performance instead of worrying about my glucose levels. My Dexcom CGM allows me to prepare for big moments and big games, and coupled with a strong support system, Type 1 diabetes is no longer a limitation for me.

I could not be more excited to join such a supportive, inspiring community of athletes who live and breathe this message! Dexcom U gives me the platform to share my story, serve as a role model, and connect with other college athletes who truly understand the unique challenges of managing diabetes while competing at a high level.
