I don’t think humans were ever designed to have this many conversations at once.

Everyday we have face to face interactions with colleagues, friends, family, strangers and clients. Then, on top of that, come the WhatsApp messages, Instagram DMs, emails, notifications, text messages, voice notes, LinkedIn messages and group chats. Dozens of conversations waiting for a response. Every single day. And somehow we’ve accepted that this is normal.

We’ve normalized expecting people to always be available simply because technology allows it. If someone doesn’t reply within a few hours, people start wondering if something is wrong. If they take a day, they’re “ignoring you.”

We’ve quietly confused having access to someone with being entitled to their attention. Those are not the same thing.

What fascinates me is that we keep talking about burnout, overstimulation and mental exhaustion, yet we’ve built a world where our minds are expected to carry hundreds of open conversations at the same time. Every unread notification is another tiny mental tab left open. Another person waiting. Another decision to make. Another response to formulate. No wonder so many of us feel constantly behind.

The irony is that we’re more connected than ever, while giving each individual interaction less attention than ever before. We answer while walking, cooking, working, watching Netflix or standing in line for coffee. Conversations become fragmented because our attention is fragmented.

I don’t believe responding quickly makes someone kind. I don’t believe replying instantly makes someone a better friend, colleague or partner. If anything, I’d rather receive a thoughtful response tomorrow than a distracted one right now.

Maybe it’s okay to let messages wait while we fully experience the people sitting in front of us. And maybe it’s okay to have moments where nobody has immediate access to us. Protecting your attention isn’t rude and it might be one of the healthiest boundaries you can have. Because, just because everyone can reach you, doesn’t mean everyone should have instant access to you.

Perhaps the most valuable thing we can give isn’t a fast reply, but our undivided presence. by @nadiabozic

My take on time and work-life balance in your twenties. As I’m turning 30 next year, I think I might proudly say I’ve experienced my twenties to the fullest. Not in the flashy, bucket-list way that social media sometimes sells us, but in a deeply personal, sometimes messy, and definitely meaningful way.

If there’s one thing I’ve come to realize, it’s that time in your twenties is both abundant and fragile. You feel like you have all the time in the world - until you don’t.

The truth is: there’s no right way to spend your twenties. And that’s both liberating and terrifying. Some people throw themselves into their careers, building something from the ground up. Others dive deep into academics, learning and unlearning with intense purpose. Some chase art, music, or adventure. And some, maybe more than we admit, simply try to survive and enjoy the ride.

Balance doesn’t mean equal parts. It’s not 50% work, 50% life. Sometimes it’s 90% survival mode and 10% joy. Sometimes it’s the other way around. And that’s okay. Your priorities will shift, your energy will fluctuate, and your idea of what “matters” will evolve over time.

So if you’re in your twenties and feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to “use your time wisely,” just remember: wisdom comes from experience, not from doing everything perfectly. So as long as whatever you’re doing right now feels honest to who you are or who you’re becoming, it’s enough.

And trust me, you’ll look back and realize: you were living the hell out of it. taken in Source, An open home for creatives by @nadiabozic

@the.vow.archive is live! And the funny thing is, not much is actually changing. For the past four years, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing almost every wedding alongside this amazing woman, my dear friend Fenna.

What started with her joining me as an intern and second shooter (I actually had to convince her to come along in the beginning.. 😂) has grown into something so much more. And I can proudly say that calling her my ‘second shooter’ no longer does her talent justice.

Having been friends for years, we know each other inside out. We understand each other without having to say much, and that connection translates so naturally into the way we work together.

So, from years of friendship, countless weddings and a shared passion for what we do, I am proud to announce that The Vow Archive is finally here ❤️ by @nadiabozic

I often hear people say “you’re so strong” as if it’s one of the greatest compliments you can receive.

And I know they mean well, but every time I hear it a small part of me wonders whether strength is something anyone would consciously choose.

Most people don’t become strong because life was easy. They become strong because, at some point, they didn’t have another option. Strength is often just survival with better branding.

It’s learning how to carry things that were too heavy in the first place. Becoming the person who keeps functioning, keeps showing up, keeps finding a way. Not because they wanted to, but because the alternative didn’t exist.

The stupid thing about that is that once people see you as strong, they often stop asking whether you’re okay. As if resilience somehow cancels out the need for comfort. And as if the people who carry the most are also the people who need the least.

Maybe the greatest compliment isn’t telling someone they’re strong. Maybe it’s creating a space where they don’t have to be. Where they’re allowed to let go a little. To ask for help and to be held instead of always holding everything together.

Because I don’t think the strongest people are the ones who never break. I think they’re the ones who eventually learn that being loved doesn’t have to be earned through endurance. That they don’t always have to carry, fix, survive or hold everything together to be worthy of love.

And maybe strength has less to do with how much someone can carry, and more with knowing they don’t always have to. That’s why I’d rather not tell someone how strong they are, but give them the space to feel safe enough not to be 🫶🏻 by @nadiabozic

A few days in Köln. Major cult vibes (help), a whole lot of ‘partying’ (which was actually kinda fun), motivational speeches, NLP techniques (felt very qualified for this one 🫡), walking on fire (we really did that?!), meditations and all kinds of exercises.

Another completely random side quest, done. Lessons learned, patterns challenged and comfort zones very much left behind. Glad we went, definitely wouldn’t go again. Thanks for dragging us into this one @srkn.klc 🫶🏻😂 taken in Köln, Germany by @nadiabozic

My camera roll from the past 24 hours: Audio Obscura on Saturday, deciding at 02:15 that breakfast in Paris sounded like a good idea, in the car by 03:30, croissants with an Eiffel tower view by 08:00, and back in Rotterdam by 17:00 for my dearest friends’ exhibition.

Zero sleep, just very good life decisions 🌝 taken in Paris by @nadiabozic
