Super excited to finally share an Alien Siren project that @michaelmartelart and I @sollycos have been working on over the past month! A huge thank you to @ryanjosephdp for bringing this shoot together, capturing incredible photos, and handling all of the planning. Thank you to my amazing makeup assistants, @keltonfx and @nadiagsfx , for helping with the application. This was a massive makeup, and I couldn’t have done it without you both. Thank you to our wonderful model, @vallady , for your patience throughout the entire process. Thank you to @albinakimdesign for the beautiful props and set design, and last but not least, thank you to @oiciruam_anadlas for capturing behind the scenes video. I can’t wait to see what you create! A little about the process: I started by sketching the initial creature concept. From there, Michael really pushed the design even further. He scanned our model and used my concept as the foundation to digitally sculpt all of the body pieces and forehead/face prosthetics, adding his own ideas and details throughout the process. He then created the digital molds, which we 3D printed, thank you @mattmadeamess for helping with additional printing. Then I casted all of the prosthetics in silicone. I also sourced the costume elements and built a custom neck piece. The cowl and spine pieces were created by @rbfx , cowl piece sculpted by @wrightstuffdesign This project was truly a labor of love and took countless hours of planning, sculpting, molding, casting, painting, and applying. We are so proud of how it turned out, and we are beyond excited to finally share it with all of you! Resident Evil meets the Substance body horror makeup for @jonzu Thanks @jonzu for having us and suggesting the concept for the shoot - we wanted to explore the lengths gay men go through to fit into the beauty standards expected of them. We are both also Resident Evil fans so I included some elements inspired by the creature designs in the games Thanks @nadiagsfx for the assistance applying this makeup!
