Day One at COP12 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania 🇹🇿 a meaningful opportunity to learn, connect, and engage in conversations shaping the future of our environment. As youth, our presence matters because our voices, ideas, and actions are essential in building a sustainable and resilient future.

NAHD FOUNDATION DELEGATES AT COP 12 OF THE NAIROBI CONVENTION

We are pleased to share that our delegates will be attending the Twelfth Conference of the Parties (COP 12) to the Nairobi Convention, taking place from 6–9 October 2026 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

This year’s COP is particularly significant as it marks the 40th Anniversary of the Nairobi Convention, under the theme:

“Towards Sustainable Blue Economy in the Western Indian Ocean region for people and nature: A journey of Forty Years.”

The conference will bring together stakeholders from across the Western Indian Ocean region to discuss key issues including ocean governance, marine spatial planning, climate resilience, marine pollution, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable blue economy.

As representatives of Al Nahd Foundation, our delegates look forward to learning, connecting, sharing experiences, and contributing to conversations on the future of our ocean and coastal ecosystems.

40 Years of the Nairobi Convention — towards a sustainable future for people and nature.

Young Minds, Big Dreams for a Sustainable Future!

A beautiful moment with children at Azimio Primary School, exploring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through art, creativity, and imagination.

Every drawing tells a story. Every child has a role to play.

Leave No One Behind.

SDG DAY 2026 | Leave No One Behind

Nahd Foundation had the opportunity to be among the participants at the Raising the SDG Flag Event held at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Tanzania 🇳🇱.

We also had the opportunity to visit Azimio Primary School, where children learned about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through art and drawings. They expressed their understanding of the SDGs creatively through the pictures they drew.

We believe that achieving the SDGs starts with inclusive education and giving every child an opportunity to learn, participate, and contribute to a sustainable future.

Leave No One Behind. 🤝
