As I continue to understand air through the vessel of a flute. Simple things are finally clicking. In my head “Why didn’t someone just tell me that when it sounds airy, it means the air isn’t going into the instrument 🤯?!!” There is a certain type of innocence that is required to navigate this difficult world. I see that is unfortunately manifested as ignorance in our current world resulting in constant violence. Music continues to allow me to perceive. #music #listentoyourheart by @nahtal

One of the main joys of the process of growing as a wind musician is playing long tones. Long tones unknowingly created a type of meditation for me that created a scaffolding for healing and becoming and healed adult. In this segment, I am trying to sing the same pitch and bend down and come back more centered and relaxed. An approach that I learned from @bkhenkel #music #meditation #longtones by @nahtal

Here’s a moment of me breathing life into this newish saxophone!!(for me at least) It’s taken so long to find and buy a tenor and there is no fight, at least towards myself. I mean, the tenor sax is always like a teenager………#instantcomposition #improvisedmusic by @nahtal

This is the sketch called Journey!! I try navigate tonal awareness with the concept of being taken away by the “spirit”! For me, I finally realized that is a part of my world building.#composition #improvisedmusic #jazz # by @nahtal
