She’s finally here 🥹💛

After years of developing these scenarios in my head and trying to figure out how to put them on paper, I still can’t believe I finally get to see the finished product of this story.

This novel actually grew out of those consuming moments I had—of longing for someone to share mini adventures with, for a best buddy to grow alongside, and for all the aches and hopes I couldn’t help but find a way to release.

May reading Summer’s story warm your heart. May knowing her make you feel understood and inspire you to continue, in spite of all the difficulties and sharp turns.

I really loved writing this one and rereading it soooo many times. I hope you’ll love each character and moment as much as I do ♥️

Scenes from Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight that remind me of my own novel, Memories of Summer 🥺

Different plot and ending, but same pain and longing...

I watched this never thinking about my novel because I expected it to be completely different. In many ways, they are, but there were also so many parts that turned out to be the exact same. Some even sooo specifically mirrored that I was actually shocked. If you like this movie, you’ll surely want to read my novel too 🥹♥️

I’d published my novel this year before I got to watch this wonderful series, so I truly felt amazed and in awe when I saw glimpses of my own little story in a different art medium. It’s really mind-blowing to realize how, again and again, love makes every story poignant and soooo moving ♥️♥️ This is why we write… and this is why we consume art, literature, media… this is what makes life worth living 💕

The Midwife by Jolina Petersheim

Now I can finally say I’ve read all of Jolina Petersheim’s books, and I want more ♥️

I’ll forever be a fan of books that explore women’s lives. The extraordinary, the pain, the weight, and also the love, the grace, and hope. I love it when I can experience a life and perspective so different from what I know, teaching me to challenge my own. And that’s what this book has given me.

It’s complex and heavy, but also insightful and warm. It’s for the mothers, sisters, daughters, and the onlookers. For the grieving, struggling, but still loving and hoping 🥹❤️‍🩹
