Handful of years when thoughts were morbid (still are) and one felt undone, fully cocooned amidst buildings, hectares of trees, and the smell of old papers slowly rotting. It was more than just years of examining the semantics in words written by the greats; it was also a (careful) exploration of oneself… a playground that’s tucked between conversations, endless papers, and humble parties on Friday nights. Wouldn’t go as far as to call it bliss, but it’ll remain one for the books :o

A song that managed to become the catalyst of everything that followed. A cover recorded in a bathtub during our first 7°C drop, when the heater’s not yet on.

I’ll miss the never-ending hot shower Rachel would take with Bon Iver’s discography playing on the background (religiously), days in the kitchen endlessly singing along to ‘for, Emma.’ I’m roped back in to that one night in September, forever ago.

breaking down some of my favorite things (this past week) from the excessive london day-trips and slow days in brighton:
1. 🫂 saw my favorite song from OUR EXTENDED PLAY, ‘cologne’ LIVE at ALLY PALLY! 🎸‼️😭❤️‍🩹
2. a newfound favorite pick me up <3
3. first fall of snow in sussex just minutes before our train to london! ❄️💨🧚‍♀️
4. 🍃🌺🩶 went to see OPHELIA!!!!!!!!!! (one of the many paintings that altered my brain chemistry).
5. a screening of a french-algerian artist documentary, zineb sedira at tate britain! (on the ways people connect/ collaborate across borders over shared struggle for liberation despite their differences).
6. 📸🏃‍♀️👀 a selfie from the only time i took my phone out at a busy tube stop (i’m paranoid).
