And finally, my two favorite players on the planet: @adrews04 @bartkurek88 🇺🇸🇵🇱🐐🐐🏐

Not only did I get to see them play in person for the first time, but what really made this Olympic experience worth it was getting to see them both take home Olympic Silver medals!🥈🥈

Congrats again, and see you both soon… Hopefully! (If I can get my hands on @zaksaofficial and @lovbmad tickets. 😭)

And finally — Matt Anderson. THE Matt Anderson.

Some people can only dream of meeting their idols. I MET mine!

And of course I couldn’t resist the urge to let him know we have the same birthday (April 18), and we’re from the same “hometown.” (What I meant to say was we were both born & raised in NY.) He said to me “You’re from Buffalo?!? 😮” To which I replied, no. (I’m from BK. But how cool would it have been if I were?) In the end, he agreed to take photos with me, and gave me a fist bump. And he even called me “brother.” I’ve called him my twin numerous times, but I guess we really are twins now!

Dreams do come true — sometimes you just have to wait 11 years, or so. @mja5041 🐐❤️🇺🇸

(P.S. — I guess it’s true when people say “Opposites” attract. Am I right?!? 🤣💪🏾🔥)

🇺🇸🇩🇪🇧🇬 Still incredulous. Still on cloud 9. These athletes are some of the coolest people on earth. I was blown away by how kind they are, given their jobs are (mostly) to violently attack volleyballs.

Fun fact 1: I gave Aaron Russell my phone after asking him to take a picture, and it came out super blurry. (He said “Oh I wasn’t good enough?! 😆” Still not your fault, the lighting was to blame 😂). So I asked him if we could re-take it, and he agreed! (My 14 year old self would’ve fainted before I could even ask to get a photo.)
You’re the GOAT for that. 🐐🇺🇸

Fun fact 2: I didn’t realize I ran into the ENTIRE German national team until after I took a picture with Tobias Krick. (This was less than 5 minutes after meeting the USA guys) And I only realized it was them because Jan Zimmerman asked me afterwards if I’d buy a shirt from Tobias if he started selling and promoting them on TikTok. And my answer is still — Hell yeah! 🤣🇩🇪❤️ @tobiaskrick @linus_weber99 @janzi17

Fun fact 3: I finally got the chance to tell Erik Shoji I love his YouTube channel, and he told us more videos are coming soon. LFG.

See you all at the Olympics in Paris next year. I’ve already got my ticket. 🇫🇷🏐🎟️
