IMMERSION TO THE HEART OF THE AMAZON
February 6–15, 2027

Many of you have asked and it is finally happening! We have opened new dates for the Amazon!

This February, we invite you to join us for a 7 day immersion in the Ecuadorian Amazon, in the ancestral territory of the Sápara people, followed by two days of integration in Ecuador’s Cloud Forest.

Together with Manari Ushigua, Sápara leader and wisdom keeper, Florencia Fridman, and Jacob Farris, we will enter into an intimate journey of connection, ceremony, ancestral wisdom, and deep relationship with the living intelligence of the Amazon.
•Sacred plant and cacao ceremonies
•Jungle treks & river excursions
• Dream interpretation and ancestral teachings
• Time in Llanchama Cocha community
• Two days of integration and reflection

This is an invitation to slow down enough to listen to the forest, to the wisdom of the Sápara, to the plants, and ultimately to the deeper parts of ourselves.
A large portion of the funds from this journey will be donated to the NAKU Foundation, supporting Indigenous-led forest preservation, cultural resilience, and sovereignty.

Applications are now open through the link in our bio.

** Also keep in mind this journey is longer than our usual journeys through @florecercommunity by @nakufoundation

Some medicine you drink. Some you sing.

El ícaro is a prayer, a calling that goes out looking for your spirit and brings it back. Close your eyes and let it take you. The room falls away. You are under the canopy now, in the green, in the breathing

When I created this image I thought of the song Imagine by John Lennon.

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us

Years of collaboration with the Sapara community and Naku Foundation have fundamentally shaped how we understand regenerative architecture.
Regeneration is empowered by the most resilient resource available: the local community.
Every design we make starts there. Activating the local community of human and more-than-humans, ensuring the longevity of each project by empowering those who inhabit it, amplifying local voices, and revitalising the vernacular traditions and practices that have always known how to care for a place.
The most regenerative architecture is the one that has stood the test of time. Buildings and techniques have been tested over millennia, in constant dialogue with the environment, season, and ecology. Vernacular architecture does not imitate nature. It emerged from it.
This is the foundation of our practice. Not sustainability as mitigation, but regeneration as return. Returning knowledge to those who hold it. Returning the design agency to those who live within it. Returning architecture to the land. taken in Amazon Rainforest by @nakufoundation

We shared this last month but needed to postpone it until now, so you get another chance to join for our first course through Naku Foundation!

We are so excited to share the wisdom of the Sapara and the Amazon to the world while also supporting our work in the territory.

This course is an invitation to see life differently. Through story and reflection, Manari explains how the spiritual and material worlds move together, and how forgetting this relationship has shaped the challenges the world faces today.

It is about remembering how to live with responsibility, awareness, and care within a living world.

The funds received from this course will be going directly to support our efforts with Naku Foundation. It takes a village to activate this vision. Please help us share this message by sharing this course with your community. 🙏🏻

The new dates are 5/18-6/29. Join through the link in our bio. Looking forward to connecting further! by @nakufoundation

This next few days Manari will be in San Francisco sharing his wisdom, but if that’s not an option for you and would like to go deeper you can join the Rapaka Wisdom course.

In this course we’ll be sharing wisdom from the jungle about how to work with the balance of the Earth and the Universe. This wisdom comes from many dietas and working with teacher plants.

We will be learning about how to bring this ancient wisdom into the current times and then be able to project into the future a new vision of life. And from there, bring that energy into the present. Calling upon the strength of Naku - the forest, we will endeavor to deepen our understanding of and relationship with the Earth and with life itself.
