Not a review, but just a journal entry 📖 🖊️ of something that has been on my wish list for a long time.

Yesterday, I attended my first-ever stand-up comedy show , Varun Grover’s @vidushak Love 💕, Death 💀 & Ketchup 🍅.

And i must say, that watching stand-up on a phone 🤳 and sitting inside a theatre are two completely different worlds. It's surprising yet magical to see, the way one person on a stage controls the mood of the entire crowd.

Tab jaake realise hua ,

Ye jo saare comedians podcasts, pe itna exaggerate karke bolte hain “I saw someone perform live and my life changed” .
Sitting there, I felt it, that pull. That strange admiration for someone standing alone in front, yet powerful.
Standup comedy gives the power to control the room which can be addictive for those who enjoy it.

I came back home and dreamt about being on the stage.🤡
I’m not funny. I’m not confident. I can barely speak without overthinking, let alone perform.
But still… I’ve added this to my bucket list of stupid things I want to do before I die.

Stand on a stage. In front of strangers.
And speak for a few minutes.

Maha Kumbh 2025
.
.
.
Some choices in life aren't easy.
Packing my bag 🎒 in minutes, leaving behind all hesitation, I stepped into a journey that wasn’t planned but was meant to be.
Kumbh Mela wasn’t just a trip; it was the realization that sometimes, you can’t have both—you must choose one. It was 🧠 vs ❤️ for me.
And i would always choose what my gut feeling says over anything.
.
This journey taught me that the best moments in life often come when you take that leap of faith. And I’m glad I did. ❤️✨

Here’s what my camera 📸 captured in Sangla Holi.
.
.

And here's what I feel about it 🙃:
This year, I got the chance to celebrate Holi differently. After all the buzz and hype around it. I decided to head sangla with my friends. Was it worth it?

So Unlike the Holi scenes in some states of India — where drinking , molestation, and chaos seem to become a part of this festival (you know exactly where I mean).
Sangla’s Holi is still about culture and tradition. It’s not just safe for everyone but a must see experience at least once in life.
Holi here is part of the 4days phagun festival,(transition from winter to spring).
One thing that stood out to me: all the preparations and arrangements are done by men, while women can be seen to enjoy a relaxed break.
✨ Day 1:
It starts with the preparation of Totu, a local dish later served as prasad. People gather at the Nag Temple for the opening ceremony, accompanied by traditional dances and music.

✨ Day 2:
Locals gathers again — this time with dhol, karnal, shehnai, and men dressed as two kings, two queens, two sages, and Hanuman.
Who then travel to neighboring villages, spreading harmony through dance, music, and food.

✨ Day 3:
This is the Holi day. The village brings a Holika idol to the center, and people celebrate with dry colors — locals and travelers together. The day wraps up with Holika Dahan.

✨ Day 4:
The final day welcomes the village deities. People perform the Nati dance, dressed in vibrant, traditional attire — a beautiful goodbye to winter.

What I love most is that, It’s a festival that truly brings people together, which might explain why Pahadi's are so welcoming.

But here’s the other side 😟 — with more social media attention, this tradition feels at risk. Each year, more tourists arrive, and sadly, not all respect the culture. This year, I saw people drinking openly, littering, and interrupting rituals, all for pictures and videos. It’s heartbreaking to see centuries-old traditions disrupted like this.

I believe strict rules😕 have to be implemented before it becomes just another insta trend.
All in all, Sangla Holi was an unforgettable experience. 🫶
