Yoga poses for nervous system downregulation 🧘‍♀️
⭐️ Supine Twist: Releases tension while the floor supports the body.
⭐️ Pigeon: Gently releases hip tension while encouraging the body to soften.
⭐️ Supported Fish: Opens the chest while allowing the body to rest and breathe more freely.
⭐️ Child’s Pose: Creates grounding, containment, and reduced sensory stimulation.
⭐️ Legs Up the Wall: Reduces muscular effort and allows the body to fully rest.
The goal is not to push deeper. Choose a version that feels safe, supported, and easy to breathe in🌟

Allow me to reintroduce myselfffff 🌟

I have excitingly made my debut as a clinician, and I couldn’t be more grateful. This account will serve as a hub for all things wellness—whether it be teaching yoga, serving as a therapist, an Ayurvedic practitioner or just sharing some good workouts/recipies.

Clinical specialities🧘‍♀️

I work with young adults and college students navigating life’s transitions and challenges. I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, relationship concerns, attachment-related patterns, emotional regulation difficulties, self-worth struggles, and major life transitions.

A central part of my work involves helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences. I enjoy helping clients develop greater emotional awareness, strengthen their sense of self, and build healthier relationships so they can feel more grounded, connected, and resilient in their everyday lives. taken in Nashville Therapy Group by @namastewithej

Weekend 2 of 300-hour training!!!!

We had the privilege of diving into anatomy and the incredible ways the human body functions. How insanely miraculous is it that every single system and cell works to protect us and keep us in balance?

My biggest takeaways from the weekend:
	1.	We can use our breath to access our emotions and build resilience within both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
	2.	Yoga has profound effects on the autonomic nervous system—our breath, humming, and movement can directly influence the vagus nerve.
	3.	For deep relaxation, we can incorporate inversions, extended exhales, and even tune into healing frequencies.
	4.	Yoga not only regulates the nervous system, but also enhances neuromuscular coordination, strengthens our connection to the central nervous system, and improves postural awareness.
	5.	Our bodies are vessels of prana—life force energy.
	6.	Eat SOUL food: seasonal, organic, unprocessed, and local. 🥑🍒🍓🥒 taken in Shakti Power Yoga by @namastewithej

First weekend of my 300-hour yoga teacher training ⭐️

In this training, I’ll be learning and embodying traditional yogic and Ayurvedic principles, exploring the deep connection between the body, the science of Ayurveda, and its impact on both mental and physical wellbeing.

It feels like such a beautiful and aligned complement to my master’s program in clinical mental health counseling.

Yoga reminds us that it’s not just a practice, but a way of life. Suffering may be inevitable but the only way out is through. ♥️ This concept in yoga deeply mirrors my personal theoretical orientation for my approach to counseling and my own life: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

I used to see weekends as time for rest.
Laying around, catching up on sleep, and mostly… a break from exercise.

Now weekends feel completely different. They have become my favorite time for intentional movement that happens naturally and freely. Instead of forcing anything, I try to listen to my body and give it exactly what it needs !!!!! 🤍

Today’s Saturday movement:
a slow 2-mile run, a 2-mile walk, and an easy yoga flow 🧘‍♀️

I started this account to document my journey through yoga teacher training, my clinical mental health counseling internship, and my overall wellness journey through life. Just showing up, learning, and growing one day at a time ⭐️🪽🌿 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @namastewithej
