Thick Waters and Grave Sins

I want so badly to obey my creator
But my struggle between flesh and desires
And the things I admire
wish to finish me
Praying the guilt doesn’t diminish me,
I think of my death

Thick skulls and thicker waters
The thickness of my blood now consumes thinning water
My blood is now blue
My oxygen is doomed
I think of my death
I think of the judgment coming and what’ll be left.
Will my limbs save me?
Kneeling and begging
or will they betray me
for all the times I spent 2nd guessing
I doubted his word
because I wanted the world
A deep desire for a world I couldn’t afford.
I see the dangers of trying to hoard from wanting rewards…

I wonder what secrets my limbs hold against me.
I think about what my hands have bruised
I think about where my legs have cruised
I wonder where my spit has landed out of disrespect
Where my sound box has left a clef
Bass clef treble clef
I wonder what’s left

I wonder who I hurt, when I thought I was at my best.
My ego was controlling
Because my ego saw my heart worth holding
I looked for lovely melodic hymns
Hymns produced by the tongue of HIM
Hymns produced by wrath, I sing
I recite
Praising with all of this might
But I might fall and lose my sight
I drown in darkness of my own blight
I need silence when I drown
I need silence to hear my thoughts out loud
Because In this silence?
I am allowed.
