Our big boy, David Tyler, (lover of animals, sea creatures, his family and Power Rangers) turned seven here with his “Ocean cake” that I made. Little Hannah and Christopher full of laughter and song seeing their brother so happy. Sarah (I’m sure) jumped for joy while we all sang, making her first appearance just six days later; filling our precious quiver of love.
Oh David, seven years went too fast back in those whirlwind, early childhood days of motherhood. The last seven years have also passed so quickly, but not with the busyness of back to school, baking birthday cakes, and changing diapers.
This season has settled into one of gracious remembrance of all you were to me, our family, and to God.

Just a little walk down memory lane with the one who ushered in the closing act of my most cherished season. Being #4 in line during my eight years of births and the whirlwind of new motherhood, you were always “extra!” Labeled early in childhood as “Miss Fashion” by your schoolmates, you’ve lived up to it brilliantly, Sarah! More than anything, you have proved that with faith, love, kindness and compassion you can make all your dreams come true. Happy Birthday, Sarah Elizabeth!

Hannah, if you look in the dictionary, you’ll find this first picture there under “beautiful baby!”
There’s an indescribable place in my mama’s heart when I try to catalog all the joy you’ve brought to not only our family’s heart, but to so many others through your “wonder-filled” life’s journey. You are truly blessed.

Another year with Mom in Oklahoma! She’s in skilled nursing now, but I’m so grateful that I can just be “daughter” and not full time caretaker. Been able to enjoy our special visits every day. God’s been faithful to us to restore our hearts over these past 9 years of her needing my help. Not always an easy road, but wouldn’t want to give back a single moment. It’s all been for restoration.
