Today it became official…Signing Day at St. Ambrose! She is a fighting bee. 🐝 🥎 To say we are proud of her is an understatement.

The softball journey has been quite a winding road but her hard work, good attitude, and resiliency kept her focused on her goal…to be a college softball player.

You did it #22! You did it!! 🥳

Thank you to Coach Kelly for his time today and for giving Mackenzie this opportunity.

Thank you to the coaches that have helped her grow and develop along the way. Many of you saw something in her before anyone else. Your vision and guidance helped make today possible.

Today we laid my mom to rest. It is hard to say good bye and let her go. To know I won’t hear her laugh, be able to ask a cooking/baking question, or even just see her face. It’s been two days of celebrating and honoring her. We sure sent her out in style. She would have loved it! I will never look at hot pink the same again. It will always be “her color”.

I love you, Mom! Get some much needed rest. Say hello to everyone for me. 💕 by @nancy_murlick

Softball has taken us many places and allowed us to expedience many cool things. Yesterday it gave us the opportunity to witness history….the Artemis II launch! It just so happened that we were staying 19 miles south of the launch for high school softball this week! Godspeed, astronauts! 🚀👩‍🚀🙏🏻 by @nancy_murlick

Junior Season…Game 2
To borrow her hitting coach’s words… “Mackenzie…that’s not a home run! That’s a GRAND SLAM!”

Way to go Mackenzie! Keep smiling, having fun out there, and enjoying the game. 💙🤍💙 by @nancy_murlick

High school softball season started this past Thursday. It was good to be back w the school ball crew. Mackenzie sure started the season off in an exciting way with 2 home runs in her first 2 at bats of the year! So proud of her. by @nancy_murlick

The hard work of competition is done. Today was time for fun! 15 years ago we did Magic Kingdom with 5 year old Madison. I was lucky enough to borrow her from the team for the morning and afternoon to do it again today with her as an adult. We did more rides, bigger rides, and rides that were not there then. We had to revisit The Barnstormer…her first coaster on 2010….she’s still not a fan. Love that we hit new ones that revisited old favorite princess movies but were fun for us now as “grown kids”. We started the day with one that pushed my comfort level but I loved it! The day ended with rain and a cold wind but we pushed through. It was a wonderful morning and afternoon of fun, laughs, and making memories. It was hard to say goodbye bye, return her back to the team and head to the airport for home without her. 🏰🏍️🐊💎🏴‍☠️🌧️💕😢 by @nancy_murlick
