Bistec a la Mexicana con Papas 🌶️🥔

One of those meals that’s always on rotation in my house! Super easy, full of flavor, and even better with some arroz rojo and warm tortillas.

Ingredients:

* 1½–2 lbs thinly sliced chuck roast, cut into strips
* 2 medium potatoes, sliced into half-moons
* 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
* ½–1 onion, sliced into half-moons
* 6 serrano peppers, sliced lengthwise (or jalapeños for less heat)
* 1 tbsp pre-minced garlic
* 1 can El Pato Salsa de Chile Fresco (yellow can)
* 1 can of water (use the empty El Pato can)
* Salt & pepper, to taste
* Chicken bouillon, to taste
* A pinch of cumin
* Olive oil or your preferred cooking oil

Instructions:

1. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add your sliced beef and let it brown, getting a nice sear.
2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, cumin, and chicken bouillon. Mix everything together.
3. Add your sliced potatoes and cook until they’re almost fork-tender, stirring occasionally.
4. Toss in your tomatoes, onions, and serranos. Mix everything together and let those veggies cook down a little.
5. Pour in one can of El Pato sauce. Fill the empty can with water and pour that in too.
6. Let everything simmer until the potatoes are fork-tender, the onions are translucent, and all those flavors come together.
