Nan Embäck is a Swedish painter and sculptor based in Malmö. Working across painting and ceramics, her practice explores human relationships and the tension between figuration, colour, and space. Through her work, she investigates how bodies relate both to themselves and to their surroundings, often balancing intimacy with spatial and material inquiry. Embäck studied at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Her work has been exhibited at Malmö Konsthall, Høstutstillingen, Galleri Ping-Pong, Dunkers Kulturhus Konsthall, and Alta Art Space, among others. She has an upcoming solo exhibition at Galleri PS, Göteborg, opening 12 September 2026.
