Scoops for Gloria was huge success! We would like to thank the Nantucket community for the outpouring of love and support during our fundraising event. Throughout the day people stopped by the Juice Bar with cards, donations and words of encouragement along with many scoops of ice cream.😊 Many even stood in line in the rain to show their support for Gloria. When Gloria learned that more than 500 people donated to her GoFundMe she gasped and said, “I didn’t even realize I knew 500 people!” This is a touching reminder of how the Nantucket community rallies to support one and another. We are touched and moved by the generosity and kindness of everyone who contributed to the go fund me and the juice bar fundraiser and to all the staff, past and present that helped as well! We will continue to collect any cards or donations at the juice bar and will send along to Gloria. Gloria would like to thank everyone from the bottom of her heart!❤️ by @nantucketjuicebar

Please join us on June 23rd at The Juice Bar for a special fundraising event to show our love, support and appreciation for Gloria during an incredible difficult time. All proceeds from the day will go directly to Gloria and her family. Gloria’s daughter, Santina, age 33, passed away unexpectedly after being diagnosed with leukemia and a rare, aggressive TP53 mutation. In the wake of the devastating loss, Gloria has devoted herself to helping with her two grandchildren (ten years old and four months old) alongside their father, Joshua, a dedicated firefighter. Sadly, this means she will not be returning to Nantucket, where she works at The Stop & Shop during the day and The Juice Bar at night. On top of the emotional stress of the tragedy, she is now facing financial uncertainty. Please come out and enjoy a scoop and help us give back to someone who has given so much to the community over the years.
