If God is our source, then what we have is ultimately provision from Him. Generosity is one way we express our love for Him and support His work, not only within our church community but also in the lives of our loved ones and strangers.

But generosity should also be intentional.

Create a budget for:

Tithe: 10% of your income, given toward the work of God and the care of His house.

Charity: Money/gifts you give to dependants, family, friends, or people in need.

Once you’ve given what you’ve budgeted for generosity that month, you don’t have to keep giving beyond what you’ve planned. Additional requests can wait until the next month.

Realistically, some months may require more generosity than others, depending on the needs around you and what you’re able to give. This budget is simply a guide to help you give intentionally and consistently, not a rigid rule.

A generosity budget helps you give freely without putting yourself under unnecessary financial pressure. 🤍

One simple way to give your money a job? Split it into 3 accounts using the 50/30/20 rule.

50% → Needs 🏠
Rent, food, transport, bills — the things you actually need to pay for.

30% → Wants 🛍️
Shopping, eating out, subscriptions, outings, giving to charity, friends and family- the things you enjoy.

20% → Savings & Investments 💰
Emergency funds, savings and investments for your future goals.

Note: The 50/30/20 is a guideline, not a law.

Adjust the percentages to fit your income, responsibilities and financial goals.

Earning more ≠ automatically becoming wealthy.

If your income increases but your spending increases just as much, you may still have very little left to build wealth.

The goal? Increase your income while also increasing the amount you save and invest.
