Long before I became a set designer and prop stylist, I loved making things with my hands.

For this weaving project 🪢, I experimented with five different weaving techniques to create a series of objects from unexpected materials.

1. A flower vase woven from strawberry sour belts, my all-time favorite candy. 🍭

2. An indestructible grocery bag made by linking cable ties together. 🛒

3. A laundry bag twisted from socks, so you can throw the whole thing straight into the washing machine. 🧺

4. A pair of shoes made from money, because apparently they can make you look richer than a pair of luxury shoes. 👞

5. And a braided wig made from flour, twisted, braided and baked in the oven. 🥨

Which woven object is your favorite? 🩵 by @naralee_studio

First made in France, 🇫🇷 refined in South Korea 🇰🇷. Over the past few years, we’ve been developing and fine-tuning how FAMILY is made.

This summer, we spent two months in South Korea refining the details even further. So happy with how far it’s come—and proud to share the updated FAMILY with you! 🔴🙌🏻

-

Our FAMILY, for the first time in Seoul! 🇰🇷

I’m so happy to finally bring FAMILY to Korea, where I’m from.

Seeing people here play with, move and transform FAMILY was especially meaningful to me.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and supported @nara.wld 🤍

Why do furniture always have to stay still? 🛋️

What if furniture could stand up, lie down, turn over — almost like a person? Family started from this very simple thought: what if a piece of furniture could move, change, and play with us? With David’s support and encouragement, that little idea slowly became something real — something we could bring into the world. 🙏🏻🌎

But making a product was never easy. It took countless attempts, conversations, and the collaboration of many different people to finally bring Family to life.

And yet, the feeling of seeing something you imagined become real — and watching people enjoy it — is something I wouldn’t trade for anything.

When we first launched Family, one of the things that made me happiest was seeing people living with it, playing with it, and making it their own. Since the very beginning, my biggest challenge has been finding a way to make Family accessible to more people, so that more of you can experience it, play with it, and enjoy it.

After a long process of research, testing, and many attempts, I’m very happy to finally say that we’ve found a new way to make Family available to more people! 🎉🙌🏻

And now, Family is finally available for pre-order until August 8. 🌈

I hope it finds its way into more homes, more rooms, and more moments of play — and that it brings a little more joy to everyday life.

Let’s play! 🔴

Last year, I stepped outside of my usual work in set design to take on something much more personal — designing my own home in Paris. 👷🏻🪚

It was my first time working on a renovation, and I found myself fascinated by the process more and more each day.

It felt familiar to set design in some ways, yet completely different in others — I loved it so much that at one point I thought I could happily spend every day renovating homes.

It’s not the kind of experience you get to have many times in life, so I feel very lucky to have enjoyed every part of it. 🌈

And now, being able to bring the furniture I designed into the home I designed feels especially meaningful.
