You’re learning about toxicity and narcissism, and one of the main things they do is undermine you.
They want to destroy what you’re doing, divert your attention, and stop you from being yourself. They want to steal your identity.
The narcissist doesn’t want you to be you. What they want is to use you as an extension of themselves so you will do things for them.
They misdirect your energy, your attention, your time, your money, your relationships, your health, and your purpose.
And when someone is still tethered to the narcissist — broken and beaten down — they are extremely vulnerable. Naive. Trapped. And they don’t know.

What the narcissist does is take you super high, then drop you very low. There is no such thing as stability with these people.
You will never get a healthy, intelligent, two-way, reciprocal conversation with them. It can’t happen. They won’t allow it.
This is why the finger is always pointed at you. Why you’re always blamed. Why you can never get a word in. Why nothing you do is ever enough.
The narcissist is a walking juggernaut — like a bull in a china shop, destroying anything that gets too close.

You finally see the patterns. They knew what they were doing. You believed the mask, ignored the actions, and fell into the trauma bond.
In the devaluation stage the abuse got worse. You became their unpaid helper, their walking apology, and put your whole life on hold for them. You started thinking the way they thought, always trying to stay steps ahead.

The narcissist knew that relationship had an expiration. You escaped the big trap, but you still fell into it. You put more energy into that narcissistic relationship than any other, and you were being fed off of the whole time. Every narcissistic relationship has an expiration date.
