Said goodbye to my best friend. Drifter was there for more life events and fun that I can count. He fished in Alaska more days than some guides and saw more big trout than many anglers. From chasing salmon and gulls on the Kenai to lounging under palms in Florida or helping on long overnight shifts at work, Drifter was there. I’ll miss him immensely. I hope some of the people that knew him can do so as well. by @narwhaldvm

This was my last trout of the trip. Maybe my last big trout for a minute…
32ish inches of chrome Alaskan meaty goodness. So glad to spend time @rainbowbendlodges again with the usual crew.

#tbt to a year ago. Travel was easy (relatively) and high fives after catching fish was encouraged. Hoping to get back again some day to #kiribati #kiritimati to chase bones.

Very strange to not be stepping into the Naknek River for the opener today. Been doing it for a decade. Just couldn’t pull it off this year between travel uncertainties and family obligations. It’s ok though, I’ll be back soon with these idiots doing what we do best. And also we will fish...

Drifter says it’s a beautiful day for social distancing. I’m gonna go lay 6 feet from him and help.
