Perfect typography is forgettable.

To make a brand actually stand out, sometimes you have to completely abandon the screen.
For my latest experimental type project—focused on the upcoming NUE Jazz Festival here in Nuremberg—I stripped away the digital safety net. No pre-made fonts. No easy vectors. Instead, I went strictly analog.
I developed custom lettering from scratch, experimenting with laser-cut wooden stencils, physical textures, and raw hand-lettering. Why? Because the friction of physical materials creates a bold, tactile aesthetic that a software plugin simply cannot fake.
This is the exact methodology I bring into commercial branding and digital spaces. Whether we are building a custom Webflow or Shopify site, a disruptive brand identity, or a street-level poster campaign, injecting analog elements into digital execution is what makes visual communication undeniable.
Stop settling for safe, template-driven design. Let’s build something raw.

While printing the custom merch for my sister’s new rescue kittens, I accidentally flooded the screen with a bit too much ink on one of the pulls. The result? A massive, chunky ink bleed.
The "clean" version looks exactly like the digital draft. But the accidental version has this raw, heavy, unpolished texture that you simply cannot fake on a screen. This is exactly why I will always choose the unpredictability of the silkscreen workshop over a sterile digital canvas. Real design gets dirty, and sometimes the mistakes become the best part of the edition.
Which version do you prefer: the clean pull or the accidental ink bleed?

Stop wanting, do something.

I’ve told myself that years ago, and it’s really made a difference in my life. I’ve moved twice, earned my degree, and worked with clients all over the world to help them build their brand identities and websites.

Digital is safe. Analog gets dirty.🫟

My sister recently adopted two rescue kittens. I wanted to give her something special to celebrate, but everything I found online felt too basic.

So, I took my digital layout straight to the silkscreen press. I designed the graphics, burned the screens, tested out metallic foils, and pulled the ink myself. I build brand identities and editorial systems on a screen all day, but true visual stories happen when you step away from the desk and actually get your hands covered in ink.

What is the most over-the-top DIY gift you’ve ever made for someone? Let me know below. 👇 DM is open for inquiries

Stop hiding your early work.

Before I was building viral, 4-layer physical zines or engineering rigorous bilingual editorial grids for 100-page magazines, there were flyers.

I designed this folding brochure during my time at the Rocket&Wink Agency, learning a massive amount alongside @izza_in_limbo. While many designers feel ashamed of their early small-scale projects, I proudly keep them in my portfolio. Here is why:

You don’t just wake up one day and flawlessly execute a massive editorial publication. You have to build a system.
Designing a physical, multi-panel brochure teaches you extreme discipline. It forces you to master Visual Hierarchy, build tight Grid Systems, and control typography in a highly restricted physical space. A 100-page magazine is just this exact same micro-system, scaled up.

Great Art Direction always starts with small, calculated steps and setting the right structural goals. If you can’t organize a 6-panel flyer, your large-scale layout will fall apart.

I build visual strategies that listen closely to the brief, but design entirely out of the frame.
If you need a brand identity, editorial layout or web design that refuses to play it safe—my books are open. Let’s talk. 📩

I will completely over-deliver on a project I believe in. But the boundaries are set on day one.

The hardest shift in my career wasn’t learning a new software. It was unlearning the need to be a people-pleaser.

For a long time, I bought into the idea that to succeed, you had to say „yes“ to everything. That meant sacrificing my weekends, ignoring my own boundaries, and trying to accommodate every safe, generic client request.

Not anymore.

When you stop trying to please everyone, you finally have the energy to build something undeniable. Setting strict boundaries, like literally closing my laptop at 18:00 gave me the mental space to actually level up my craft. It gave me the freedom to dive into the absolute unknown: learning code from scratch, building rigorous bilingual grid systems, testing experimental typefaces, and teaching myself animation.

I am no longer interested in just making things look „pretty.“ I want to build complex visual systems. I want to dig into the research until I find the perfect metaphor. I want to take the initiative, write the first email, and completely over-deliver for brands that actually have a spine.

Saying „no“ to the toxic hustle culture is exactly how I built a career I actually love.

What is the biggest professional boundary you’ve had to set for yourself? Let’s talk about it in the comments. 👇

Organic reach isn’t dead. Boring design is.

How do you get nearly half a million views on a single editorial layout without spending a single cent on ads? You stop playing it safe.

The Beauty Trap zine didn’t go viral because it followed the rules of «clean» minimal design. It exploded because it was built on pure visual friction, raw typography, and an uncompromising aesthetic.

Swipe through the reality of what happens when you build a high-tension visual strategy:

The Reach: 452,000 organic views.
The Influence: Becoming the benchmark for editorial design on platforms like Setters Education and inspiring fellow designers’ moodboards. The Demand: Daily DMs asking to buy my templates (Spoiler: I don’t sell templates, I build custom visual ecosystems).
The ROI: A fully booked schedule for August with clients who want this exact level of disruption for their own brands.
Good design makes things look pretty. Strategic Art Direction forces the internet to stop scrolling, save your work, and beg to work with you.

Stop settling for safe aesthetics. I am currently reviewing inquiries for upcoming commercial branding and editorial design briefs. Let’s make some noise. Link in bio. 📩
