601 are releasing a brand new single entitled, Radiance via Ten Bus Audio/Earache Distribution on Nov 26th.  This is the first track we have written as a four piece since Ari Malekpour (Hidden Mothers) and Matt Benatan (Din Of Celestial Birds) joined 601 as full members of the band and equal partners. After over thirty years recording and releasing music as a duo Nat and George were so excited by Matt and Ari's effect on the live sets that all four members naturally started creating and experimenting in the studio. It was clear that after a rich and storied journey, there was another twist, 601 had become a band now. We've independently released this extended mix of the  track through George's Ten Bus Audio label as we are still in the final stages of making the album that this is taken from and to be honest we're too excited about it to not share a track with you.  We also felt as though we should properly introduce both Ari and Matt and how they have upgraded the sound of 601 in 2026 and this track is a good way to showcase that. Radiance is the sum of all our parts and elements from other bands and projects combined. 601 fuses post rock and shoegaze to deep electronica and experimental guitar abuse to create a chapter in an all too true story. Radiance is as much about tragedy as it is about fleeting moments of deceptive beauty. Artwork by the incredible Rich @fall_into_frame whose work you might recognise from the gorgeous, striking @buttonpusherdiy event flyers and posters that turned our heads in such a big way that he's now doing the art for this album and some spin off projects too. Surprise! Instead of waiting for digital distributors to get their act in order. I am surprise-dropping this really early Bandcamp release of all of my best work from this time last year to now , or at least the stuff I want to put out. This is also to say thank you to anyone who is supporting the charity EP. I'm going to enjoy clearing up my desktop and giving my brain a short break. For some reason (I'd probably crawled up my own arse again) I wanted to release this as three separate mini albums with one under a totally different alias. However, after being really touched by the response and support that the charity EP for Mind got yesterday, I revisited my folders and realised that a really good variety of sounds is something that I actively look for on a record, and it made total sense to see if it all worked together. So I made and listened to a few different tracklistings and found the right one. Then at midnight I released it all on Bandcamp! Everything I've made over the last year but not the 3 wildly inappropriate depressive 10-minute end-of-the-world electronic drone doom stuff. This also includes tracks from the mini album, Laughing At Nothing... And It Is Funny. But the streaming versions of these songs are slightly different from the versions here, and there are two tracks on that release that aren't here. If you go to my Bandcamp you can see the tracklisting and from the titles alone you'll get gist of where I was coming froom. The general theme of 2026 for me and many of you, I'd imagine, has been the sheer weight of being an attempted human in 2026. This is another reason why I wanted to release everything I have from this last year before cracking on to a big change and a new era for me creatively and geographically.
