The most moving exhibition by @leah.jensen ‘brain tumour book’ opened at Fitzrovia Chapel this evening. Lovingly presented by @cavalierofinn, it showcases the extraordinary creative output that sustained Leah whilst dealing with a brain tumour diagnosis and subsequent treatment during Covid. Leah’s skill - given that stitch is not her primary medium, is astonishing, and her honesty is powerful. Run to see this brilliant show, and donate, if you can, to support the brain cancer charity. Reflecting on the last few days and some of the people who have helped shape this year’s edition of @collectartfair. Not enough tags to genuinely thank everyone, but a recognition of how much goodwill and faith there is that we can continue to shape a world class fair giving craft a worthy platform.
1- @brigitta_spinocchia_freund your passion, generosity and commitment has been extraordinary. It was a pleasure to co- host our Collectors brunch ahead of the fair opening. Your support of Collect Open, and the confidence you instil in the makers has been inspiring. Thank you

2- @fitzartsadvisory and @cedriclsmith Day 1 supporters. Infectious enthusiasm, deep knowledge, always fun.

3- collect open selection panel @carolinejackmanartist @lewisdaltongilbert @eagletta @brigitta_spinocchia_freund an outstanding year of talent- who have all gained from your support and encouragement.

4- just a few of the brilliant @craftscouncil team. You’ve got this- to see how your collective ambition for what we do continues to grow is an absolute dream

5- @saffy.jade @brookfieldpropertieslondon what a terrific champion you are, 7years into the partnership and still keeping it fresh and exciting (whilst also tolerating me insisting on a mirror selfie)

6- @tf_chan Just Wow. I don’t think there was an artist at the fair that you didn’t know, your mastery of detail whilst holding the bigger vision is astonishing. Bravo.
