I don’t just photograph what I see. I photograph what it makes me think.

“The Space Between Us”

Two people sitting close enough to touch, yet seemingly lost in two different worlds.

One looks towards the other. The other looks down, caught somewhere between a cigarette, a phone, and a thought we will never know.

There is something quietly beautiful about the way they sit together. No effort to fill the silence, no need to entertain each other. Just two people sharing a small piece of pavement while the rest of the world carries on.

I wonder what happened just before this moment. Were they in the middle of a conversation? Had they run out of words? Or was this simply one of those rare moments when silence feels more natural than speaking?

What fascinates me about people is how much we try to understand from so little. A gesture, a glance, the distance between two bodies. We build entire stories around strangers who may be thinking about something as ordinary as what to have for dinner.

And perhaps that’s what I love most about this photograph.

It gives us just enough to imagine, but never enough to know.

“What We Are Made Of”

Nature reveals itself in layers.
Stone behind stone, shadow behind light, one form emerging from another.

Perhaps we are built in much the same way.

I am an observer. When I photograph, I often discover something in the landscape that feels strangely familiar - as though what I see outside of myself reflects something within me. A mountain is never only its surface. It carries layers shaped by time, pressure, rupture, and change. So do we.

This photograph reminds me that we are not one fixed thing. We are made of everything that came before us - what is visible, what remains hidden, what has shaped us, and what is still becoming.

“Where the mountains touch the sky”

Lost between stone and clouds,
where silence feels infinite
and the world below slowly disappears.

“Too Slow to See”

The landscape seems permanent only because our lives are brief. Nothing is truly still. Everything is becoming, only on a scale of time too vast for us to witness. Against it, the traces of our presence are fleeting. What we call permanence may simply be change too slow for us to see.

“Organic Geometry” part 2

The façade of the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden blurs the boundary between architecture and biology. As I stood beneath it, the repeating forms no longer felt like windows and walls, but like a living organism - an intricate network of cells expanding across the structure. The interplay of geometric precision and organic rhythm transforms the building into something that feels simultaneously engineered and alive.

I’m honored that this series has been selected as an Official Selection and awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2026 International Photography Awards @iphotoawards

Light becomes the defining architectural element in this minimalist composition titled “Threshold”. Vertical illuminated lines and geometric repetition guide the eye through a transitional space toward an undefined source of light, emphasizing balance, rhythm, and the quiet dialogue between structure and emptiness.

“Curved Silence” is an exploration of the quiet relationship between architecture, light, and space. Rather than documenting a building, the image isolates rhythm, proportion, and subtle transitions to reveal an abstract visual language. It reflects my belief that the most profound experiences are often found not in spectacle, but in the quiet nuances that emerge when we slow down and truly observe.

“Anatomy of Ice” explores the glacier as a living structure shaped by time, pressure, and transformation. Through monochrome imagery, ice, rock, and cloud reveal a landscape that resembles anatomy - veins, scars, and layered tissue. Rather than documenting a place, the series reflects on the fragile architecture of a disappearing natural body.

I’m honored that this series has been selected as an Official Selection and awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2026 International Photography Awards @iphotoawards - as well as other series and single photos.

“Endure”

A quiet reminder that mountains measure time differently than we do.
