With the initial inspiration of Vivaldi’s “Inverno,” I initially drew upon my past experiences playing the violin growing up.

This garment encapsulates the intertwining of human and instrument; that out of body feeling as if you are one with the music. The heat of the stage lights turns into the whipping cold hand-crafted by Vivaldi: the merging of existences.

Simultaneously serene and chaotic, illustrated with the use of repurposed bridal satin, liquid chiffon and organza. These organic aspects are layered on top of a red satin. Real instrument string sourced from my home school district frames these pieces to emulate human muscle anatomy.
