As most of you know, I lost my dad two years ago. It was the most indescribable heartbreak I had ever felt, and I had no idea how to deal with it. Coming to experience camps has shifted my entire perspective about grief. Learning it’s ok to express and talk about it has been extremely eye opening for me. It truly has shaped me into the person I am today, and I can’t thank experience camps enough.

Though I only had a few summers at Pennex, I wouldn’t hesitate to call my bunk, my sisters (I love you bunk O). I know I can be my whole self around them, and they understand my feelings in ways others don’t. My counselors/ grief specialists who have been there for me, I consider all of you my second family.

So, thank you @experiencecamps for giving me so much after a huge loss. I plan to come back and be a jc, so I can share at least half the love you’ve given me. taken in Camps Equinunk and Blue Ridge by @natalie.gress_
