What if life was never meant to feel this hard?

I spent years believing if I tried harder, planned better, healed more…

THEN I could exhale.

Turns out, peace wasn’t waiting for me on the other side of getting everything right.

It was waiting for me to stop gripping so damn hard.

Today, I live the freedom I once dreamed about.

Slow mornings. Ocean swims. Work I love. Following what feels alive. Changing direction when my soul says GO.

And still, life asks me to surrender deeper.

To trust without knowing what’s next.

To receive without immediately reaching for more.

To let God lead without demanding the whole map.

Maybe ease isn’t about creating the perfect life.

Maybe it’s finally allowing yourself to receive the beautiful life you’re already living. 💚

I have a little space in my calendar next week to connect. If something in this spoke to you and you’re craving more ease, freedom and trust in your own life, send me a message. I’d love to hear what’s alive for you.

🤍😇💜,

For years, I genuinely believed I could think my way into peace.

Bless her heart. 😂

I had a plan for everything.
A backup plan for the backup plan.

I replayed conversations, rehearsed ones that hadn’t happened yet, and called it being responsible.

Now I know…

I was trying to feel safe.

Because when you’ve heard the same programming over and over…

Try harder.
Do more.
Figure it out.
Get it right.

You start believing that voice is the one you’re supposed to listen to.

But somewhere inside, you know.

It’s not about trying harder.

TRYING never brought me peace.

It kept my jaw tight, my shoulders raised, and my body bracing for a life that wasn’t even happening anymore.

Maybe you know this feeling too.

Maybe you’ve been trying so hard to be a better mother, partner, woman…

that you’ve forgotten what it feels like to simply be YOU.

Because peace isn’t something you think your way into.

Peace is something your body remembers.

And when your body begins to feel safe, you stop performing, stop editing yourself, and start coming home to the woman God created before fear taught her to shrink.

The woman who laughs. Receives. Uses her voice. Trusts herself. Delights in her life.

This is the heart of Nest & Nourish.

Enough is enough with TRYING.

Maybe now, you just get to remember.

There was a time when I would leave a Somatic Mentoring session with a mother feeling completely alive.

Full of purpose.

Full of love.

And then I’d return back to life…

Feeling empty.

That was one of the hardest things for me to admit.

I love supporting women.

So why did I still feel like something was missing?

Over time, I realized I had spent years helping women come home to themselves…

While quietly forgetting to acknowledge the mother within me.

So much of that came from the grief of losing my own mother at such a young age.

Without realizing it, I had frozen parts of myself simply to keep going.

I believed fulfillment came from what I was giving.

But what I was truly longing for was to return home.

Home to the woman who had been there all along.

Home to the joy of simply being.

To savoring my own life.

To receiving myself.

A few years ago, during a plant medicine ceremony, the words Mothering Thy Mother came through. And of course when I heard this message, I was so excited to make it a new offering. Yet I knew what it/ I needed was SPACE.

I was being invited to stop abandoning myself.

To come home. And now I offer this to you!

What an extraordinary gift to walk beside women as you stop abandoning yourself.

As you remember what it feels like to receive…and to BE SEEN!

And return home to the woman you have been all along.

If this speaks to you, reach out.

I’d love to get to know you. My DM’s are open for yummy, deep connection.

I wonder how many of us have mistaken independence for safety.

How many of us learned…

“Don’t depend on anyone.”

“Figure it out yourself.”

“Be strong.”

“Carry it all.”

And somewhere along the way…

Strength stopped being a choice.

It became survival.

Yesterday, I was guiding a somatic healing circle with a mother.

As we talked, she recognized one of the beliefs she’d inherited growing up:

“I have to do everything on my own.”

Before we moved into one of our practices, I invited her to close her eyes.

To slow down.

To scan her body.

Not to fix anything.

Simply to listen.

Then I invited her to imagine her ancestors surrounding her.

Walking beside her.

Supporting her.

Loving her.

I didn’t ask her to think about it.

I invited her to experience it.

As she stayed connected to her body and allowed herself to receive that support…

The tears began to fall.

Not because she was remembering something painful.

But because her body was experiencing something that had become so unfamiliar.

Being supported.

Being held.

Being loved…

Without having to earn it.

That moment stayed with me.

Because I couldn’t stop wondering…

How many of us are exhausted not because life is asking too much of us…

But because we’ve been carrying it alone for far too long?

How many of us have become so good at being the strong one…

The capable one…

The one everyone else leans on…

That we’ve forgotten what it feels like to receive?

To receive love.

To receive support.

To receive our feelings.

To receive our bodies.

To receive ourselves…

Without trying to fix, change, or earn any of it.

Maybe healing isn’t about becoming stronger.

Maybe it’s remembering that your body was never meant to live in a constant state of holding.

Your body already knows how to receive.

It simply forgot that it was safe.

This is exactly what I help mothers experience.

Not through more information.

But through experiences that help their bodies remember what safety, trust, and receiving actually feel like.

If you’re tired of carrying everything on your own…

Let’s change that.

Do you ever notice yourself waiting?

Waiting until you feel more certain.

Waiting until you know you won’t make the wrong decision.

Waiting until you finally trust yourself.

I used to think trust came after certainty.

Now I see something completely different.

I don’t think we’re actually searching for certainty.

I think we’re searching for the feeling of safety.

This week, a client shared something that stopped both of us.

She told me she doesn’t fully trust herself.

She worries about the decisions she makes.

She wonders if she’s doing enough for her children.

She questions whether everything will work out.

Then she paused…

And she started remembering.

Every time she’s chosen to trust herself…

Things have worked out.

Not always the way she expected.

But always in the way she needed.

Then she smiled and said something that I think so many of us believe without realizing it.

“It almost feels too easy.”

As if trust has to be earned.

As if we have to work really hard before we’re finally allowed to trust ourselves.

But what if trust doesn’t arrive because you’ve thought enough…

Analyzed enough…

Or found enough certainty…

What if trust begins the moment you decide to lean toward it?

Not because you know exactly how everything will unfold…

But because you’re willing to take one step before you have all the answers.

I’ve come to believe that trust isn’t something we achieve.

It’s a relationship we build.

One choice at a time.

One breath at a time.

One moment of saying,

“I’m willing to trust myself here.”

And every time you honor that choice…

Your body gathers another piece of evidence that you’re safe.

🤍 I’m curious…

When uncertainty shows up, what’s your first instinct?

✨ Overthink?
✨ Ask everyone else what they think?
✨ Look for another sign?
✨ Freeze?
✨ Or do you trust yourself?

I’d love to hear your answer in the comments. Love,

For the longest time, I kept asking myself,

Why am I so tired?

My mind searched for answers.

Maybe I needed to heal more.

Maybe I needed to fix something.

Maybe I just needed to try harder.

Then one question changed everything.

What have I been making mine that never belonged to me?

I started noticing how often I’d taken ownership of other people’s emotions, expectations, responsibilities… and even stories about who I needed to be.

What if exhaustion isn’t always a sign that something is wrong?

What if it’s your body asking you to loosen your grip on what was never yours?

That question has changed the way I understand trust.

I don’t experience trust as something I have to earn anymore.

I experience it as what remains when I stop abandoning myself.

I’m curious…

For years, every time I felt uncertain, I assumed it meant I was making the wrong decision.

Can anyone else relate?

Nine years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life.

I left everything familiar behind and moved to Bali.

At the very same time, I stopped working full-time for someone else and stepped fully into my own business.

I pulled off the Band-Aid.

No backup plan.

No guarantees.

No proof that everything would work out.

To say it was uncomfortable would be an understatement.

I spent so much energy looking for reassurance that I was making the right decision.

Looking for signs.

Looking for proof.

Looking for certainty.

Fast forward to today.

It’s been 55 days since I arrived in Portugal, and I find myself in another season where I can’t see the entire path.

There are still unanswered questions.

There are still moments where I don’t know exactly what’s coming next.

The uncertainty is still here.

But something is profoundly different.

I’ve realized that uncertainty doesn’t mean something is wrong.

Life is still asking me to trust before I can see the whole staircase.

The difference is…

I’m no longer trying to trust.

I trust.

Not because I have all the answers.

Not because I know exactly how everything will unfold.

But because I’ve learned to trust myself.

I’ve learned to trust life.

And I’ve learned to trust the Divine moving through it all.

One of the greatest lessons this journey has taught me is this:

Most of us aren’t actually waiting for certainty.

We’re waiting to feel safe enough to take the next step.

Those are two very different things.

And when we begin rebuilding trust with ourselves, we stop needing life to guarantee the outcome before we move.

If you’re in a season where nothing feels completely mapped out, I hope this reminds you that you don’t need every answer before you begin.

Sometimes the next step is all that’s being asked of you.

✨ Before you keep scrolling…

I invite you to share below:

Right now, I’m learning to trust __________.

Mine is:

myself… even when I can’t see the whole path. 🤍

Hi beautiful humans ✨

If we haven’t connected in a while, I wanted to reintroduce myself.

I’m Natalie.

I guide leaders, couples, and families into deeper connection and full-body expression.

Because when all of who you are belongs, there’s no need to hide, shrink, or perform.

I’m a Somatic Mentor and Family Doula whose work weaves together nervous system regulation, parts work, relational healing, and family systems.

At its core, this work is about remembering.

Not becoming someone new.

Not fixing yourself.

Not endlessly trying to improve yourself.

Remembering who you’ve always been.

Because most of us learned that certain parts of ourselves weren’t welcome.

So we learned to hide.🙈

To shrink.

To perform.

To become who we thought we needed to be in order to belong.

And it’s exhausting. I remember when one of my great teachers spoke truth telling me I was still performing and I’m like what? Yes… and I knew it was time to fully receive me verses continuing to push harder. I was done as I’m sure you know this all too well.

My work is an invitation to a different possibility.

A life where all of who you are belongs.

The leader.

The lover.

The parent.

The dreamer.

The powerful part.

The scared part.

All of it.

Because when all of who you are belongs, something beautiful happens.

You trust yourself.

You speak your truth.

You connect more deeply.

You receive more fully.

You experience more joy.

The more fully expressed you become, the more life gets to meet you there.

Not because you’ve become someone different.

Because you’ve stopped abandoning yourself.
If you feel that there’s more of you waiting to emerge…

I’d love to connect.

If you’re tired of being tired. Yeah, you know what I mean.

And here’s why. It’s not just lack of sleep. It’s because you’re disconnected. Disconnected from your body, from your needs, from the signal that says hey, slow down.

Disconnected.

So what does that look like? Living in your head. Trying to figure everything out. Constant go go go. Brain never shutting up. Body feeling like an afterthought.

And we don’t even notice. We’re so used to doing life this way. Like robots.

Connected looks like letting yourself decompress. Not because you earned it, just because you need it. Slowing down without the guilt trip. Being in your body and actually enjoying being there. That’s what I’ve been practicing lately. Not pushing. Not performing. Just being. And the energy that frees up? Pure magic.

Reconnecting might look like feeling your jaw clenched and unclenching it. Lying on the floor while your kids climb on you, and actually laughing. Putting a hand on your low belly in a stressful conversation. Turning off the podcast because you need silence more than one more voice in your head.

None of this is big. It’s just tiny delicious returns to yourself. And they stack up fast.

Your energy comes back. Your voice comes back. Your want comes back. The real kind. The kind that makes you actually enjoy your partner, your kids, your friends, your actual life.

That’s the shift inside Nest & Nourish. Three months. Somatic, fun, creative. We bring you back into your pleasure body. Your womb and your throat start talking again. Your relationship with yourself transforms first. And then everything gets juicier.

Not just for you. For your whole family. Because when you stop pushing and start being present, the energy in your home changes. Your kids feel it. Your partner feels it. The tension softens. The rushing and guilt start to fade.

This isn’t for everyone. If you’re not ready to own your pleasure, no worries. I’m probably not your person. I’m here to see you OWN YOUR YUM!

But if you are? If you’re tired of being tired and you want to feel connected again?
