Repeatedly blown away by how much love this room gets 🥹
Not that it ever changes how much I love my designs in our home, but it really means the world knowing other people love them too! 🤍
In other unexciting news
I spent the afternoon at home today cleaning, touching up paint spots and sorting through some more things to either donate or toss! We’ve been working hard on decluttering every inch of our house and it’s made the world of difference in having a clear mind at home 🥰

Excited to finally share our mid-way exterior reveal!!

After planning on leaving the exterior for a few years, we unexpectedly needed our roof redone, which somehow snowballed into all new exterior paint, new landscaping, brickwork, and our dream arched front door featuring @nostalgicwarehouse ‘s Neoclassical unlaquered brass hardware entry set 😍

We painted all windows, wood trim, fascia, soffits, gutters AND our front door this deep earthy green and it compliments the unlaquered brass hardware so well, making it the perfect moody vibe we wanted!

We can’t wait to see how it patinas over the years too 👀
We still have loads of landscaping left to do and a few window alterations next year, but we love that our front door feels as perfect as possible 😍

Slowly but surely the dining room is coming together 👀

I’m loving the feel of this room so far. I’ve been hunting for the perfect pieces for this space from a giant antique cabinet for the back wall, all the way to the right light fixtures and the right rug to compliment our huge 1800s refectory dining table.
Thankfully I can cross one of those items off the list with this new rug from @magnolia by @joannagaines & @loloirugs 🤍🤍🤍

For our dining room I picked the Latte Navy rug from the Winslet Collection and love the texture it brings to our space!
For our guest bedroom I chose the Meredith pillows in the Maroons Ivory colour combo 🤍

With a half finished roof and a flooding basement, I thought I would take my mind off things and repaint our hallway (which I had JUST painted 2 coats of green with no issues).
As soon as I started the new coat of green, the paint started bubbling, leading to the most exhausting afternoon peeling an entire hallway and ceiling of paint 😂

I haven’t posted as much as I wanted about Reno’s and the new house, mostly because things have just been really tough.
Emotionally, physically, financially…Nothings seems to be going smooth - despite simultaneously feeling like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. I had hoped the first month in our new home would be all these things, and although they were all of it & more, there’s also been a lot of hard things happening.
And after it felt like all the sad things were done and we made it through…my sweet Pigeon unexpectedly passed away. Which might sound so trivial, but it just felt like a reminder that the sad things weren’t done yet. I was so sure the universe sent him to me to slow down and feel gentleness and then he was just gone.
I’m so grateful for what we have, and filled with excitement for what’s going to come, but throughout the last few weeks Reno’s have just felt hard to document.
I know this house has so much magic and amazing memories to come, it’s just off on a different start than I hoped.

So to catch you up, in the last few weeks we have:
-gutted our home
-rebuild our staircase
-Re landscaped our front yard
-altered our roof structure (new roof going in this week)
-installed all new hardwood
-installed our 16ft long display cabinet (big feels after waiting so long)
-painted our main rooms (dying over the dining room)
-installed new light fixtures
-got new appliances
-redrywalled many walls

And lastly, moved in all of our stuff.

Not much of it was even worth documenting but I do hope to share more things soon 🤍 by @natalieapaquin
