A LIVING MOSAIC

Intertrend’s Art of Bloom explores symbiosis by bringing people, nature, light, and technology into one immersive experience. Option B translates this idea through the language of mosaic, where individual materials, spaces, and experiences become part of a larger composition. By day, Modica’s is grounded in its physical layers of heritage and craftsmanship; by night, projection adds a temporary layer of light, transforming the same architecture into an immersive journey through Orsa’s story. People, food, family, nature, material, and technology become the individual pieces that come together to create one evolving experience.

BEYOND THE SURFACE

What appears simple at first can hold a story far deeper than expected. Like a familiar can of ravioli whose character is revealed through its layers of flavor, Orsa’s journey from Greece to California and her experience building the restaurant from the ground up reveals strength, creativity, and depth beneath her gentle demeanor. The design reflects this transformation through repeated arch forms that appear pressed and shaped throughout the space, revealing rich red interiors inspired by pasta sauce and the unexpected layers beneath the surface.

BOUTIQUE SPA PROJECT

A luxury spa designed at Big Pine Lake as a recovery space for hikers, focused on relaxation and restoration. The plan follows a circular flow that moves users through different treatment areas, including massage, sauna, cold plunge, and hydrotherapy. Dark, natural materials reflect the surrounding landscape. The experience extends outward to a hot tub and infinity pool overlooking the lake, blending the built space with its environment.

Blending Japanese and French influences, this restaurant is designed as an upscale dining experience with a bold and refined atmosphere. The space uses deep dusty blue tones with black and gold accents to create a rich, elevated feel. NEW YORK LOFT

This New York loft follows a Japandi design for a mother and daughter, with an emphasis on simplicity, function, and ADA accessibility. The first floor is designated for the mother, while the second floor includes the daughter’s space and shared work areas. A large indoor bonsai tree at the base of the stairs acts as the main focal point. The overall layout is designed to reflect the clients’ daily routines and personal interests.
