“When are you going to give her a sibling?”

If you have a living child and you've also had a loss, this question can knock the wind out of you in a grocery store checkout line.

You don't have to explain your fertility, your fear, or your grief to a stranger — or even to family. That's exactly what Safety Scripts are for: short, calm, ready-made responses so you're never caught without words again.

This is part of what I call Honest Advocacy — one piece of my W.H.O.L.D. Method — because you shouldn't have to leak your energy explaining your pain to people who were never entitled to the details.

Grab your free Safety Scripts before your next holiday gathering. Link in bio. 🤍

Its October 1st. This month is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month- if you've lost a baby, at any stage, this is for you.

For the next 31 days, I'm talking directly to you. Not about grieve in general terms, but to the person actually carrying it. You dont have to perform healing here. You just have to be where you are.

If this month is hard for you, tell me. I'm listening all October.

Last night had an extra hour in it. If you're pregnant after a loss, you know exactly where that hour goes.

The middle of the night is when the what-ifs get loud. Checking. Checking again. Googling something you already googled at midnight.

You're not crazy for that. You're carrying a baby and carrying a loss, and your mind is trying to keep you safe the only way it knows.

I can't make the nights shorter. I can make sure you're not the only one awake with it.

If this is you right now, DM me rather than comment, so this stays yours. Call your care team about symptoms.

31 days ago, I said this month was for you. It still is.

Awareness Month ends today, but nothing about your loss, your grief, or your right to talk about it openly ends along with it. The candle from October 15th may have burned out, but what it stood for doesn't.

Thank you for letting me speak directly to you every single day this month. Whatever comes next for you — an ordinary Tuesday, a hard anniversary, a quiet year of healing — I'm still here.

This space doesn't close when October does.

After everything we've talked about this month — the guilt, the anger, the loneliness, the anniversaries, the fear of being "too much" — here's the one thing I want you to leave with: you did nothing wrong, and you are not alone in this.

Whatever your grief looks like, however long it's lasted, however messy or quiet or loud it's been — it's valid, and so are you. There's no version of grieving this loss that disqualifies you from support or understanding.

This month is ending, but I'm not going anywhere. Come back whenever you need to, today or five years from now.

Save this one. Come back to it whenever you need it, this month or any other.

Somewhere in my third pregnancy after loss, I stopped waiting to feel “safe” before I let myself live.

I still checked for the twinges. I still held my breath at scans. But I also let myself pick out one small thing for the nursery. I let myself say the due date out loud to a friend. Not because the fear was gone — it wasn't — but because I decided fear didn't get to run the whole nine months.

That's Living While Grieving. Not the absence of fear. The refusal to let it be the only thing you feel.

If you're pregnant after loss right now, still bracing for the worst at every turn — you don't have to wait for the fear to leave before you let a little bit of life in too.

If you've ever apologized for bringing up your loss again, or worried you're "too much" for still grieving after all this time — I need you to hear this clearly: you are not too much.

Needing to talk about this more than once, more than a hundred times, doesn't make you a burden on the people who love you. It makes you someone who's still processing something genuinely enormous, at whatever pace that takes.

Your grief is allowed to take up space. You don't have to shrink it, or apologize for it, to make anyone else comfortable.

DM me if you've ever apologized for bringing this up 'again.'

If you've read anything I've shared this month and thought “that's me” — I want you to know there's a room for you.

Still Carrying Membership is where the Willow Women in Season 3 come to stop carrying the fear, the guilt, and the silence by themselves. It's built on my full W.H.O.L.D. Method — Witnessing the truth, Honest Advocacy, Organized Connection, Living While Grieving, and Deep Integration — the same path I walked through three pregnancies after loss, toward what I call Integrated Peace: not “getting over it,” but finally carrying it comfortably.

You don't have to keep doing this pregnancy — or this grief — completely alone. Link in bio to join us. 🤍

Awareness Month is almost over, and I want to say this clearly: your grief doesn't end when the calendar page turns to November. You're allowed to still be exactly where you are — next month, the month after, years from now.

This month was never meant to be a deadline for healing, or a window that closes on your permission to grieve out loud. It was just a moment when more of us said it together.

Whatever you're carrying, you get to keep carrying it for as long as you need to, awareness month or not.

Follow along — I'm not going anywhere when the calendar flips to November.

Loss has a way of showing you exactly who can sit with hard things and who can't. Some people quietly disappeared, not out of malice, just discomfort. But maybe one person kept showing up anyway — kept texting, kept asking how you really were, kept sitting with you in it without flinching.

If you have that person, today's a good day to tell them what it meant. Not everyone can do what they did.

And if you're reading this as someone who's shown up for a friend through this kind of loss — thank you. It matters more than you probably know.

Tag that person below, or send them this post directly.
